I believe in one God, Father almighty, creator of heaven and earth, and of all things visible and invisible.
I believe in one Lord Jesus Christ,
the Only-Begotten Son of God,
born of the Father before all ages. Light from Light, true God from true God,
begotten, not created, of one essence with the Father;
through whom all things are made.
For us men and for our salvation, came down from heaven,
and was incarnate of the Holy Spirit and of the Virgin Mary, and became man.
For our salvation he was crucified for us under Pontius Pilate,
he suffered death and was buried,
and rose again on the third day according with the Scriptures.
He ascended into heaven
and is seated at the right hand of the Father.
He will come again in glory
to judge the living and the dead
and his Kingdom will have no end.
I believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, the giver of life,
who proceeds from the Father,
who together with the Father and the Son is worshipped and glorified,
who spoke through the prophets.
I believe in one, holy, catholic and apostolic Church.
I confess one Baptism for the forgiveness of sins,
and I look forward to the resurrection of the dead
and the life of the age to come.
Amen.
Honestly, after watching you for a few months, the only one angry and bullying is you. You are obsessed, Brother. I really think you should take any objections off the internet. Do you really think Twitter represents real life and that your posts make any sort of a difference?? Its pretty insane.
The fact that Protestants dont address any arguments is literally one of the reasons why @JayDyer is stepping back from some religious debate online. Its frustrating and it really doesnt help their case. It only ensures Protestant numbers decrease.
The Alex Sorin vs JP Uncut debate wasn’t very close. I do appreciate that JP showed up and debated, however, Alex made very strong cases while JP didn’t really sit down to break down his own arguments or even really address most of Alex’s.
It’s sad to see how Protestants, without always saying it directly, think the Church apostatized and we somehow were in error for 1500 years.
I know many love Christ, but the truth is the Church didn’t apostatize or error so greatly. We’re still here, it’s in Eastern Orthodoxy.
Lord have mercy.
@DocDox_ Yes you are partially right and wrong. 1 and 2 Samuel is considered a single book. It was considered one book. It was only divided when put in the Greek Septuagint. So as one book, Samuel started it, and it was finished by Nathan and Gad. So as a single book, Samuel started it.
@Sunburnz1@ThoughtfulSaint A few more questions I have if you dont mind humoring me. They are respectful.
Do you believe those who read the Book of Mormon, cover to cover with an open mind, will be converted?
This isn't right either. The Seven Ecumenical Councils did not "innovate" dogma. They articulated & defended truths already contained within the apostolic deposit in response to specific heresies. The SAME principle applies to later binding councils of the Church: they do not introduce new theology, but clarify, define, and safeguard the faith once delivered by Apostles, when new errors came about.
The Church has received later councils as dogmatic authoritative and binding, such as the Palamite Councils of Constantinople and Jerusalem (1672), even if they are not numbered among the seven.
The Palamite Councils and Jerusalem (1672) did not innovate dogma any more than Nicaea did! They defended & clarified the same apostolic faith in response to later controversies. The primary distinction is one of reception, historical status, and scope, not whether the council can bind the conscience of Orthodox Christians, or "just useful." But to say that any council "innovates theology" is actually heretical.
@quasischoolman@TheOtherPaul2@JayDyer No, if you get blocked, you're 100% being a rude dumbass. 9/10 disagree calls go smoothly and respectfully. He literally has THOUSANDS of hours of video over a decade on his channel debating people who disagree. How did he get those if he blocked them? Lol
@LightOfAntioch@Sola_GPT Here is your carrot 🥕 << for it has the same IQ as you. Sure doesnt say anything about Mormons 🤣 Eastern, Roman, Protestant (which all come from Pentecost and the Creed). What do you think a Creed is, genius?
@AnchorDialogues@forsman_josh@brycejofficial This isnt true. We have binding councils. The difference between Ecumenical Council vs Pan-Orthodox Councils isnt their binding power.... they are in fact all binding.
Aren't the demonic supposed to show external good works and the appearence of holiness? This is literally what it says throughout the Bible when they deceive others, to lead them astray. Paul even says, others will come preaching "another jesus." And to be weary of them, for they try to lead others away from the Truth of Christ.
