I came to X fam last yr & hoping to get resources again. For those wondering J came home from AZ for a couple reasons, mainly his mom is STILL homeless. Who has connects to Metro Action? I have helped raise $5k but $8K remains. This sweet mom has been w/o a place for 20 mths😥

For those wondering, folks must recertify each yr w/MDHA & when they do not their rent goes to market rate. The covid rent pause affected this mom’s situation. She was dealing w/postpartum, abuse and did not recertify. My friends know the 11 yr twins they are amazing thespians ❤️

@SoyStephPao Fam, we got a new coffee spot in Napier?! I know of the one near the cemetery but idk I think that’s Wedgewood Houston. The only new thing in Napier needs to be a grocery now! But as far as the gentrification, it’s diabolical!

I was tickled by this sweet teen crew who agreed to wear their new @Chase beanies until it snows again.They volunteered at a community event yesterday & then I took them to the mall to get a Christmas present where we came upon the Chase holiday train station. Good times @Wendys

@kelseymgibbs Lafayette st/Napier community. I respect you Kelsey & I like Channel 5 but fyi to any news I don’t want to be interviewed—not saying you asked— I’m in my feels as NOTHING will be DONE anyways. Now I see why most of my neighbors are apathetic. Another day, another wound.

I wish I could take a group every month! They didn’t give up and learned new skills. My young neighbors had SO much fun yesterday @TheCragTN !If I had a bigger bus I could’ve taken 15 more who were at the library & wanted to go.TY to the MDHA comm. safety grant for covering cost.

I’m in tears! This sweet family loss their mom/wife 4 months ago :(. I know them well. So glad they got a visit from Roman and Nyquist & MNPD. @PredsNHL I will take them to the next game we have tix to! Also slightly jealous as I live two blocks away!! @PredsFoundation

Hoping my reach here will help this vision come true… Looking for an owner of an RV to welcome small groups of youth accompanied by a teacher to experience what it’s like to be on an RV for a few mins. We will read the book “Home Is…” Pls let me know if you know of anyone🙏🏾
