@JacobKinge Gold is heavily traded too; futures, ETFs, derivatives (all are speculative) maybe not day traded. Its industrial use is tiny compared to its market value. People hold it because it’s scarce and trusted, not because it’s used in chips. Bitcoin follows that same pattern.

Now we have high school football players announcing they are transferring from one local high school to another. What’s next?

Kindergarten all star announcing he’s transferring schools to gain more collegiate exposure?

What’s driving this. Parents who don’t know any better, ego driven coaches and kids who don’t understand how the recruiting process works.

How about you focus on your gpa, 40x, being a leader on campus and making great social choices. If your high school coach is any good (and you are worth promoting), he will get you the exposure and connections to college coaches.

Trump keeps stating that it's to the advantage of the U.S. if the Canadian government is Liberal.

He never tells you why, but here's the reason.

Canada sells oil to the U.S. at a massive discount. We are trapped in this deal because the Liberals blocked pipelines that would have expanded our markets.

Trump is well aware that Carney and his decade old Liberal government are unlikely to change the situation. Carney has already said that his primary focus is on emissions reductions, not production growth or pipeline expansion.

The Liberals also make for a good political foil to justify his frankly pathetic attempt to annex Canada. It allows him to continue on with this distraction.

In 2 years, the midterm elections will decisively curtail Trump's power. Canada however risks being saddled with Trudeau's economic advisor and his old cabinet for another 4 years.

10 TRUTHS for a High School Coach

1. Adversity is inevitable - Adversity finds a way. It is guaranteed. How will you respond? It is one of the great things about high school sports. It teaches lessons that will last a lifetime.

2. Each player is different - All kids are wired differently. Treating kids equally is not possible, but treating them fairly is. Coaches have a challenging job with so many individual personalities and perspectives. One of the great challenges of coaching is getting these individuals to sacrifice for the team.

3. Winning isn’t everything - It’s important. At the varsity level, the goal is certainly to win, but not at all costs. The ultimate goal is to meet essential standards and expectations and teach the all-important life skills that team sports teach.

4. You can’t please everyone - You will never please everyone, so don’t try! Coaching is hard work, and the only person you can ever please 100% is yourself. So do your best, know what you are doing is in the team's best interest, and then trust and be confident in your decisions.

5. Parents have tunnel vision - Most parents have tunnel vision, which is OK. The best ones can see the big picture and understand the concept of a team. However, coaches must remember that parents see things only through this lens.

6. There will always be critics - Critics are everyone. Don’t let them win. Always remember Teddy Roosevelt's “Man in the Arena” speech. Those watching are easy to criticize, but the credit always goes to those in the arena!

7. A coach’s influence is special - The word ‘Coach’ means so much and has so much influence on others. Always remember your influence and lead with this in mind. Be a leader others can be proud of.

8. Hours are long, and pay is low - Most coaches are not doing it for the money. As a coach, you never want to calculate your hourly rate. Coaching is a calling, but for many, that is not enough. Unfortunately, we are getting fewer coaches, and the pay does not match the many challenges that coaches face today.

9. A supportive spouse is a must - A coach's time commitment means many hours away from home or absence, which can be challenging for a family. Having a supportive spouse who understands the challenges of coaches is critical.

10. The memories are unmatched! Although coaching brings many challenges, the memories created make it all worthwhile. These memories last a lifetime!

Instead of retaliatory tariffs how about a ban on exporting potash to the US. It would require federal and provincial support for the potash industry but it could bring the Midwest US agricultural industry to its knees. Good luck finding another supplier USA. Just an idea.

🇨🇦 just announced its largest infrastructure investment ever. Currently it takes a painstaking 1.5 hrs to fly from Toronto to Montreal.

🇨🇦’s gov will fix that by making it 3.5 hrs at a higher cost w/ ̶T̶r̶a̶i̶n̶C̶a̶n̶ ̶ Alto. Though it’ll be obsolete before it starts.
