@besttrousers @rickmcgahey Scientific in what sense? String theory as a theory of everything hasn’t been proven true but it’s mathematically consistent (lots of theories in physics are consistent but not reflected in nature) and has also had significant impacts that are experimentally validated

Why do you think the only way to fix the various UC problems is to reduce enrollment? If you think things are bad now I am sure making UC smaller and poorer will fix it

@AlexRotmensz @mnolangray By statute, the enrollment of international students is capped. It is less than 25% OUT OF STATE. UC grads who stay in CA are tremendous for the state. Not really sure why you want to handicap the UCs by forcing them to cut enrollment given how far state support has fallen

@AlexRotmensz @mnolangray The enrollment of out of state students at ICs is capped by statute. If more intl students are admitted then a proportionally larger number of in state students are admitted. Its bad to want to make CA a worse place and try and xenophobicly blame “foreigners”
