@justRUDA found a flat stone chipped into a rough circle. Looks like itcould be a stone pot lid or a baking stone or a cheese weight.... take your pick! @N_T_S#Torridon
Productive day deturfing at Doire na Fuaran with the @NTS_archaeology team and the amazing volunteers in the beautiful landscape. Managed to get some test pits set up and had some finds too ! Great start to the dig at #Torridon@N_T_S
It's always amazing how much you can get done on the first day of a dig! Deturfing and removing rubble. Nice house structure within the township Baile Mheadhon @N_T_S#Torridon
In the future, archaeologists are gonna be digging and learning about what society was like for us and they’re gonna find hunners of elf bars and that’s what our material culture will be
Really can’t get over how so many people believe that this means half of your salary is gone 😭 We need to start teaching kids about taxes in schools because these replies and quotes are outrageous
@glasgow_society hello! I’m looking for something that might have possibly been published in your bulletin in 1973. The reference from Canmore quotes “Glasgow Archaeol Soc Bull” as the publisher. I tried looking online but no luck for the digital version. Thank you !
@glasgow_society That’s amazing thank you so much !! The title of the reference is Excavations at "The Mound", 12 High Road and it’s from vol. 2, 1, 1973. Page(s): 3-4.
