@CallanSarfert@lashondaeaddy#WeAreConqueringCrises I think the main use for natural disasters in times of crises like this is mainly used for the people's safety. Making sure people know where and when to evacuate, shelters they can goto, finding loved ones, etc. are all important during natural disasters.
@CallanSarfert@lashondaeaddy#WeAreConqueringCrises The actions and beliefs of one team member in sports can reflect the entire team, so SIT plays a role because it is critical that the team monitor people within the team's activities within social media.
@CallanSarfert@lashondaeaddy Politicians and public affairs officials will always have the risk of inputting their personal opinions onto their social media platform. Though social media can be great for publicity, it can backfire because their own beliefs might be controversial. #WeAreaConqueringCrises
@CallanSarfert@lashondaeaddy Communicators used SMIs to alert people regarding how their organization is going to handle the pandemic and informed stakeholders of all the practices they are going to be changing in light of the pandemic. Zoom conferences, changes in interaction, etc. #WeAreConqueringCrises
@CallanSarfert@lashondaeaddy#WeAreConqueringCrises I think the main point of communication for nonprofits is just being transparent on what their efforts and proceeds are doing. Making sure that all of the stakholder's money is accounted for and informing the public what exactly they are supporting.
@CallanSarfert@lashondaeaddy Religious identity could affect a stakholders perception because it means that there will always be a chance their religious beliefs can affect the decisions the company makes. #Weareconqueringcrises

@cfly77@chris10buckley#weareconqueringcrises a proactive CSR is better because reactive CSR can be seen as a half-hearted attempt at making up for their errors. It looks much more credible when they commit before something happens, because the intention looks better and does not look forced.
@cfly77@chris10buckley#weareconqueringcrises there might be conflicting opinions. For example, some stakeholders might have connections to big oil. Another one is financial strain: some CSR commitments are expensive, and stakeholders could be worried it will hurt the organization/mismanage funds.
@cfly77@chris10buckley#Weareconqueringcrises I think it should be delegated: employees might have good intentions but I would rely on professionals to delegate to ensure that the attempt at contributing to CSR does not backfire. The organization will suffer.
@cfly77@chris10buckley#weareconqueringcrises CSR is so important because the organization's commitments to bettering society makes the organization much more reputable. Consumers also love feeling good about supporting organizations that are good!
@cfly77@chris10buckley#weareconqueringcrises targeting the wrong demographic with the information (if at all targeted) is really bad for the organization since it means the message was not corrected and relayed to the right people. Misinformation is also a factor.
@cfly77@chris10buckley#weareconqueringcrises i think the main thing about being authentic and credible is the fact that they need to rely less on other's reporting/approval for their message to be sent out. They can send the message from their own social media sources without being doubted!
@MadiKinsley@lashondaeaddy#WeAreConqueringCrises A5: A couple of reasons, but one is so that they are not blindsided. Your stakeholders are the backbone and reason your organization is alive; making moves behind their backs will only hurt the organization and eventually make them turn against you.
