You might have noticed your usually hyperactive and friendly dog suddenly become withdrawn and listless. Or maybe you had a pair and lost one and noticed a change in your other dog’s behavior.

The best way to manage such dogs would be to give them some more attention and ensure they are actively engaged/ getting more excercise. Also, reward them when they show signs of happiness but be careful not to spoil them or they will begin to mope to get attention.

Both the stud & bitch have to undergo conditioning prior to mating. This means regular veterinary care, pre-breeding tests, regular exercise and good nutrition. A bitch should be in good mental condition, not overweight & have good muscle tone.
