On Friday the #Copyright Claims Board filed its first final determination on the merits in a case that originated with the CCB. It's also the #ccb 's first default judgment, and it took about 13 months start to finish. https://t.co/ASGZygvevW
We did it! You can now access our first Open Access issue: A special issue devoted to the life, art, and activism of Dr. Haunani-Kay Trask. The AICRJ is officially open access. The archive of past issues will be slowly uploaded this week. Check us out: https://t.co/T9lVPhRx2Q
The #Copyright Claims Board has issued its first final determination on the merits. Infringement found, and $1000 awarded to the claimant photographer. https://t.co/ONJJ5Jv9yd
@rach_scholcomm No. There are 377 cases now, it's more than I can do a lot of weeks to even read the claim blurbs. But my fuzzy impression is that the vast majority are commercial.
It's both a typical #CCB claim because it was a photo used w/o permission on a website, but atypical because it's the only case so far transferred from a district court.
The #Copyright Claims Board issued its first final determination on 2/15. But it was adopting a settlement, so we still don't have a ruling on merits. https://t.co/SS07eyGukj
My article "Images, Copyright, and the Future of Digital Publishing in the Arts" was just published in @RefractJournal, and I've posted a copy on the UC OSC blog: https://t.co/H9lWZdeVc1
The entire @RefractJournal supplement, "Imagining the Future of Digital Publishing," is available on @eScholarship and looks great! https://t.co/Pc0Oxie8Xz
@lschiff@CharlesOppenh@eScholarship Many (most) law journals coming out of law schools are free to read, even if they don't use CC licenses. Some movement in the open casebook world, too - https://t.co/PKH4UJ4jwd
.@DrFeliciaLopez collaborated with @JordanCollver to create the comic "How to Read an Aztec 'Comic': Indigenous Knowledge, Mothers' Bodies, and Tamales in the Pot," now available on Bobcat Comics @eScholarship@ucmerced. https://t.co/HgTAeu0pdT
@siriusxmu Thank goodness, because I've missed several hours and this is the funnest. (have you, perchance, already played Lucy Dacus doing "Dancing in the Dark"? or MS MR's "Dance Yrself Clean"? a couple personal favorites)
