stars in spiral galaxies move too fast and too coherently for the visible mass present.
The mainstream solution was to introduce Dark Matter - an invisible substance never directly detected.
But modern observations point to something far more tangible.
Galaxies are not just collections of stars.
They are immersed in a vast ocean of magnetized plasma.

A largely ignored fact: the visible universe is plasma-dominated
As Nobel laureate Hannes Alfvén emphasized:
over 99% of visible matter in the universe is plasma
plasma carries electric currents across cosmic distances
magnetic fields can structure matter on galactic scales
Yet cosmology largely prioritized gravity-only explanations.
What we are actually seeing when the galaxy “wobbles”
Recent data show that the Milky Way’s disk oscillates vertically, like a slow wave.
Standard interpretation: gravitational interactions or a dark matter halo.

The stars are not driving the motion.
The plasma medium is.

How plasma maintains galactic coherence

Why Dark Matter is not required in this interpretation
Coherence does not demand extra unseen mass if you have:

Nothing is missing in mass.
