#CPI(M) delegation led by General Secretary MA Baby, Polit Bureau member R Arun Kumar, Rajya Sabha MPs V Sivadasan and AA Rahim, Delhi State Secretary Anurag Saxena and Pushpendra Tyagi are on a sit-in protest in front of Gautam Buddha Nagar District Magistrate's house in a Sector 27, Noida.
They are protesting against the undemocratic actions of the district administration who have not allowed them to meet families of detained leaders of the workers strike and families of workers who were brutally beaten and arrested in Noida.
Moreover, CITU Delhi State Secretary PV Aniyan and President Virendra Gaur who were picked up outside the District Magistrate's office, are missing and their whereabouts are now not known.

Veteran #CPIM leader Comrade M M Lawrence (95) passed away today at the Medical Trust Hospital, Ernakulam. He served as a CPIM Central Committee member and as the convener of the Left Democratic Front (LDF) in Kerala.
He was a prominent trade union leader and held the position of CITU Kerala State Secretary. From 1980 to 1984, Comrade Lawrence represented the Idukki constituency as an MP. Born in 1929, he became a member of the Communist Party in 1946. During the freedom struggle, he was expelled from St. Albert's School for pinning the tri-colour to his pocket. Later, he continued his education at Munavirul Islam School. He discontinued his formal education in class 10 and became a full-time politician.
