I woke up this morning, and I realised how wrong I've been about President Cyril Ramaphosa all along. The man is arguably the best president of our country in the post-apartheid era. He's not spineless as some people would have us believe; he's courageous and this is evident in how he has confronted unions that have destroyed our public education system and ballooned the national unemployment rate.

He has dealt with corrupt elements within the ranks of his own organisation and united it. The people who say the ANC is fractured simply do not know what they are talking about.

He has fixed state institutions such as Eskom and SABC, which were broken during the Zuma years. Again, anyone who denies this probably lives in a parallel universe. He has further improved the state of our ailing economy and created employment for millions of unemployed South Africans. The Labour Department in our country is manufacturing the employment statistics.

Most importantly (without expanding further), he has significantly reduced the rate of crime in our country since he assumed power in 2018. Even El Salvador has nothing on us; we are the safest country in the whole of Africa.

Those who accuse him of being corrupt are spewing balderdash. Ramaphosa is a man of integrity. Lead us Matamela!
