These publishers, translators, editors, and other officially involved staff are down to chat with you, so your purchases and feedback actually do matter in regards to what they can bring in next.
Years ago, there weren't many options so fan translations really were the main ways to reads VNs, but a number of fans back then are now officially involved in bringing titles to the west and choose to stick with this industry because of their passion for the medium.

Fake cis allies jumping in to defend their favorite cartoon reviewer on the internet asking "how is this transphobia?" imagine referring to a trans woman by her deadname before actually just referring to her as the woman she is with her preferred name, it's just ridiculous.
all the cis "allies" in the replies saying there's nothing wrong with referring to trans women as men when talking about their past just goes to show how most cis people have never talked to or befriended a single trans woman their whole lives
