@osutein Yeah this is so funny to me as someone who had a legitimately cool graduation speaker. It’s just like, a fun fact to tell people sometimes! I work at our commencements now so I can tell you his speech was more interesting than most are but it did not change my life.

@kdzwierzynski Yes until several years ago USC still used an in-person announcer and you could write on your name card. Now we use a service the pre-records the names and we scan the cards at the ceremony, but students are still able to send in phonetic pronunciation info for the recording
