Life savers supporting to rescue the injured from the garbage landfill this afternoon.

The Lusanja-Kiteezi landfill collapsed today following yesterday's rainfall.
While we wait for authorities to give statics on the exact number of households affected, at least 4 people were rescued alive and referred to Mulago and St. Stephens hospitals by the emergency response team.

The search and rescue continues.

URCS, has trained water and sanitation committees in Kerwa, Yumbe district .

The training aims to equip the team with knowledge of how to sustainably operate and maintain the established facilities.
