While the ignorant media is calling it a Medanta U-turn underpass at Rajiv Chowk, Gurugram, only the actual government officials and Babus know how hard they had to work to fill the underpass with water so people can enjoy swimming during the monsoon.

-Wait for the appropriate weather conditions (monsoon).

-Don't provide proper drainage because it costs money (excellent financial management).

-Award the contract to the one with maximum bribe offerings. (earning money is also important).

-Let bribes and poor quality of work continue. (work smart, not hard).

-Sleep peacefully when it's time for accountability. (It's far less stressful than fixing the problem).

ये है भाजपाई तरक़्क़ी की नई हवा… कुछ दिनों पहले ही जिसका उद्घाटन हुआ हो उस सड़क को मरम्मत की ज़रूरत पड़ गई और एक्सप्रेस स्पीड से मरम्मत को सुखाने के लिए पंखे का इस्तेमाल किया जा रहा है ये भी हास्यास्पद है। 2-3 हफ़्ते में ही जिस एक्सप्रेसवे का दम उखड़ने लगा है उस पर चलने का जोखिम कौन उठाएगा?

सवाल ये भी है कि ‘अटल प्रोग्रेस वे’ योजना में ही रहेगा या कभी बनेगा भी… या काग़ज़ों में बनकर उसका ‘हिस्सा-बाँट’ हो चुका है।

भाजपा राज में हुआ हर निर्माण चलता कम है… धँसता, ढहता, गिरता ज़्यादा है।

My friend from one of India’s top government medical colleges sent me this.

Look at the condition of this government hospital.

From the top posts right down to the bottom, almost every position is filled through reservation ~ ward boys, nurses, doctors, CMS, CMO, principal, everyone.

They draw salaries in lakhs and enjoy all the facilities, yet the hospital is in a worse state than what animals get.

Patients are sleeping on the floor while stray dogs lie right next to them.

Now it’s hard to even tell whether this is a hospital for humans or for dogs.

When merit is replaced by reservation at every level, this is the exact result you get ~

a public hospital that has collapsed into something closer to a dog shelter.

कान का इलाज कराने गयी थी, अस्पताल की लापरवाही से हाथ कटवाना पड़ा, शादी भी टूटी गई।

बिहार के शिवहर की 20 साल की रेखा पटना के महावीर आरोग्य संस्थान पहुंची। कान में दर्द था, छोटी सर्जरी होनी थी। लेकिन लापरवाही से गलत इंजेक्शन लग गया।

हाथ का रंग हरा पड़ने लगा, दर्द बढ़ता गया। डॉक्टरों ने पहले ध्यान नहीं दिया। कई अस्पताल घूमे – आखिरकार मेदांता में कोहनी के ऊपर से हाथ काटना पड़ा, सिर्फ जान बचाने के लिए।

शादी भी टूट गई। और रेखा का यह भी कहना है - कि पुलिस ने FIR तक नहीं लिखी।
