Please @F1 could you explain to us why this radio wasn’t aired? And please explain to us, @MercedesAMGF1 why it was ONLY GEORGE who experienced problems because of your bloody rocket car?
Your journalists really do have an incredibly low bar at @SkySportsF1, don’t they? We’re almost at the end of the season, and you still don’t understand how much energy deployment affects a car’s performance and lap time under these regulations?GR spent the entire race fighting deployment issues. He repeatedly reported problems over the team radio, literally saying, “Deployment is terrible,” and ultimately retired with a PU issue. If you’re going to analyse a driver’s performance on a public platform, the very least you could do is first understand whether his car was actually functioning properly.
And @F1, I have to ask: why is it that whenever drivers are dealing with deployment or energy-related issues, you all seem to go silent and leave those team radios out of the broadcast — and even remove them from the official data channel? While the broadcast and commentators are discussing why they’re “so slow,” viewers aren’t even allowed to hear the radio messages that most directly explain where that loss of performance is coming from.
That wasn't the only thing left out: the deployment issues throughout the race were missed too. Most fans don't listen to team radio or check telemetry, so the story around this race and George's season keeps following what suits @MercedesAMGF1 and @F1.
🚨 Mercedes reportedly KNEW George Russell’s engine was being pushed to its limit.
The power unit that failed in Malaysia had been in use since Hungary and Mercedes deliberately kept it running as part of a long-term reliability test for its 2027 development.
The downside? Russell has effectively paid the price.
Singapore is a terrible place to take a fresh engine penalty, meaning Mercedes may either risk an older unit again or wait until Austin and send George to the back of the grid.

saw someone looking for the compilation of Russell's car (non-driver-induced) issues
Here it is⬇️ from Race 1, Australia, to Race 13, Italy.
You can filter by session, importance, PU-related, etc.
will be updating Madrid, Baku, and Bahrain later today

ontem postei o vídeo dos carros perdendo potência juntos atrás do SC e vi gente falando que só o Max teve problemas, e quem vinha atrás reduziu para não ultrapassá-lo
fui ver as onboards
no top 5, só Antonelli parece não perder potência naquele trecho
Bro I’m telling you, Mercedes are purposely sabotaging Russell so they can flex Antonelli and sell the “youngest WDC” gimmick.
I don’t even like Russell but this is a disgrace, then you look at the deployment of both cars and Russell’s is shite compared to Kimi………….
I’m not Russell’s biggest fan but I feel for him this season, these ai engines not only ruined his title chances but also his team in my opinion clearly favoring Kimi with Strat and his deployment issues look so dodgy. I truly think he’s been held back so Mercedes have the youngest WDC in Kimi
@bruh_lette@MercedesAMGF1 It’s not even that it’s George blowing up, yes he’s had more failures, but you simply cannot be nursing components at such a critical part of the season…
Especially when both Kimi and George have had reliability DNFs.
It is simply not good enough. Just giving points away.
@mdm_designs@MercedesAMGF1 If I had a nickel every time Mercedes brought an upgrade package and George’s PU failed and he DNF’d, I’d have two nickels. It’s not much but it’s odd that it happened twice this year.
For context…
So we may not see any wet running, because the cars have to go so slowly in the wet, the turbos stop spooling.
You then need to use all the battery hoping it re-spools. If that drains, it basically totally shuts down, then you have to turn it off and on again 😂
@MercedesAMGF1 You’ve had that engine in since the dawn of time … trying to drag it out for an ADUO
On tracks that are hugely powerful dependent and high stress on the engine
You’ve absolutely been playing with fire here and now you have ZERO points AND a grid drop…
Ever since Q3 in Shanghai, George’s car had some PU/deployment fuckup for some reason. He’s had some bad luck, but he also has had piss-poor reliability with the team seemingly not caring unless somehow it affected Kimi’s car as well.
there were like 200 radio messages about Boost & deployment issues today😅😅
NONE of them ever make it to the official Data channel, let alone the broadcast☠️
