To our community, it's with a very heavy heart that we make this announcement.

We’ve decided to shut down Kaiju Cards.

Despite our best efforts, we’ve been unable to generate the growth and revenue needed to sustain Kaiju Cards.

Despite launching our game’s alpha in the middle of the bear market, players logged hundreds and hundred of hours of playtime. We’re grateful to everyone that spent time in Good Earth, knocking Red Orc heads and using Bucket of Shurikens over and over and over (and over).

We’ve prepared some things for you in light of our shutdown:

1. All BP purchases from 2024 will be refunded. Refunds will be going out in the next hour and should be in your wallet in the next 24 hours or so.

2. All item conversion and burning fees from 2024 will be refunded. Refunds will be going out in the next hour and should be in your wallet in the next 24 hours or so.

3. All KC apps, including the game, will stay online until next Tuesday, June 25th, at 5pm Pacific time. If you have Kaiju in GQ, Swords in the Sword Forge, and items in the game that you want to return to your wallet, please do so before then.

4. The bridge will be shut down this week. We suggest you do not bridge any more Kaiju from Solana to Arbitrum.

5. All NFT metadata has been migrated to Arweave, both Solana and Arbitrum NFTs. Your Kaiju will continue to live on the blockchain.

6. KC NFT collections will be hidden on Treasure’s site to ensure nobody buys without knowing that we’re shutting down.

The Discord will stay open indefinitely.

This is the second series of images we used to announce the @KaijuCards Age of Ritual and introduce the new mechanic of Burning Equipment

Kaiju Cards IP is ripe for storytelling, the characters have so much visual personality and it's always fun trying to find their internal characters and bring them to life.

@kaijumike_ and I worked tirelessly on each of these image series, making sure that every frame would flow into the next, that the story could be told without words and that the new mechanics/concepts would be introduced clearly while still feeling like they're taking place in Good Earth (the world of Kaiju Cards).

One of my favorite parts of how we distributed these images to keep the storyline clear while spread across multiple posts was an idea that @kaijumike_ had to quote retweet each previous post with the new image in the series. This created a really cool clear narrative structure across posts on the timeline.

I threw some silly words into this series page just for fun
