In respect to following internet trends; I will no longer identify with my age.
Which works out fine, because no one else can either. People online think I'm considerably older, and people offline think I'm considerably younger.
@Failed_Kings@criticalhitsTV@ChibiReviews And there's the heart of the problem, and more than a little ironic that these modern feminism waves need men to be subservient to the cause to get anywhere because otherwise they'd lose the plot and show how thin said cause actually is in the current day.
@lllililllillill@FrinFranZimZam@HikaruTcs@GiveMeBanHammer So you go from 'they aren't going to do that' to 'it doesn't matter they're going to do it anyway', some how not only being contradictory to yourself, but both statements aren't even true; xbox360 discs work still.
Also, what did you think Stop Killing Games was for anyway?
@inkfycreates I would've thought that a name so closely resembling that of an AA studio would understand that there's more in the gaming sphere than the biggest companies putting out 60+ USD games.
@HeyIgotsomethi1@CorpoScum The 'side incentive' is being a publicly traded company with institutional shareholders, forcing them to do dumb shit for ESG score- fake brownie points. Or in some cases, weaseling government money earmarked for diversity goals.
@GenghisConnThr3 You're probably referring to Roguelites, or rather, games that barely have any Rogue elements to them besides mildly slapped together level design pushed through a seeded algo and an even worse attempt to balance anything because 'random'.
Talentless hacks infect EZ genre, RNN.
@Chudfish14921 I would say "Trying to sell you solutions to problems it created around 50 years ago" would be a little more accurate in that context... but looking a second time it's not even that much, just using the most aesthetically optimal marketing tools they have.
@Bumbles01@floridabee4@ChibiReviews It's not even all that accurate. There *is* a lot of cosmetic surgery there... but it's more for the eyes/eyelids when they're roughly college age.
@lllililllillill@FrinFranZimZam@HikaruTcs@GiveMeBanHammer Should say things you can actually back up instead of things that are objectively wrong.
And it's not even just the the normal live service stuff either, MS yanked Fable III from people's accounts instead of removing Windows Live's authentication and keeping it functional.
@GiveMeBanHammer Why they were never allowed for college papers as resources as a bare minimum and why I never check whatever the reliable source box is on Community Notes when it's a wiki link.
I realized this early when they locked down benign articles as Atlantis and stopped supporting them.
@Pagan_GMR That's great, but it's still a shitty NoChange petition. One day people will realize that iPetitions exists and has for longer than most people on here have lived at this point. 👴
@YorchTorchGames Oh good, a NoChange petition to laugh at.
Money on the table? That's a laugh and a half, but I'll admit 50 whole signatures is a lot more than the money actually on the table for modern audience sales, as proven time and again.
@DanderThe@GameXplain Pretty much, I kinda don't want them to remember F-Zero and Custom Robo... though now I'm curious about the JP comparisons, maybe it's just part of the localizer plague?
@riley_stahura@Pirat_Nation I'm sure there's some mild amount of truth to that, especially in the arena of how many actors they could have in a scene at once, but overall not as drastic as you make it sound, and certainly not as drastic as the OPs image.
@Pirat_Nation Old news, but yeah. There's something weird going on, most are assuming a scam like cryptomining, but I still wonder how that even clears if they can't get anyone to play it, even if they convert it to f2p.
@riley_stahura@Pirat_Nation How is it new if it's regurgitating old things that more talented people founded decades prior?
The people getting fed up with new teams misinterpreting the original vision are right, and I see a lot of parallels with purposefully misguided localization work.
@DongWizard69420@RevengeofCave But they can't run on a technical level- at least, not the way the publishers want to run them.
Which should tell you that security and keeping their game clean from cheating is not at all what they actually care about.
