When supporters rebuilt this football club in 2011, they did it for the community and for the future of football in Rushden. The fabric of this club is hard work, commitment and belief, which would not be possible without the dedication of each and every one of our supporters and volunteers.

We are a club with a rich and varied history, bringing each and every fan to support the club for their own unique reasons. Memories of those first games 15 years ago blend with memories of promotions and FA Cup heroics decades prior and even further back - all of which we are proud to recognise and remember as the times that built us.

We do not want to be consigned to the history books. Slater’s Lodge represents the next chapter, creating a permanent home that reflects the ambition, identity and heritage of AFC Rushden & Diamonds.

A NEW HOME FOR THE DIAMONDS💎

We recognise that supporters may be anxious and keen to know more information about our search for a new home. As part of our dedication to transparency and community-benefit, over the next three months New Home Director Marc Jarrett will be providing weekly communications on our campaign and rationale for a new home at Slater’s Lodge.

For 14 years, AFC Rushden & Diamonds has grown through the commitment of supporters, volunteers and the wider community. Now we have an opportunity to create something lasting at Slater’s Lodge — a long-term home for football, community activity and future generations in Rushden. Currently, we ground-share with Rushden & Higham United FC at Hayden Road. Whilst we are incredibly grateful for the support and partnership they have provided which has given us invaluable stability over the years, this has always been a temporary solution.

As the club has grown and as we continue to do so, it has become clear that to secure our future and to reach our full potential, we need a permanent, purpose-built home.

This is about more than matchdays. It’s about creating a place our town can be proud of.

AFC Rushden & Diamonds are proud to unveil our new third kit for 2026 through to 2029.

A design with our history at its core, the blue and red quartered shirt pays homage to the original Irthlingborough Diamonds, formed eighty years ago. The team would go on to merge with Rushden Town FC in 1992 to form the original Rushden & Diamonds FC.

We are not just a club. We are a community, proud of our history and honoured to continue the legacy.

The Irthlingborough Diamonds 80th Anniversary kit is available to pre-order via our website now. Alternatively, head to our club shop tomorrow to pre-order a piece of our history.
