So excited that this paper on cropping growers collaborative weed practices has just been published.
Growers are more likely to collaborate if they are concerned about the spread of herbicide resistance from their property to their neighbours.

We published a paper describing public discourse about those 'obnoxious plants' and 'pestiferous growths' (i.e. weeds) over the last 130+ years and what this reveals about how they are managed!

We have a publication! Great work @KaitlynHeight, @SoniaGrahamBuch & co! 'Opportunities to Manage Herbicide Resistance through Area-Wide Management: Lessons from Australian Cropping Regions' https://t.co/Tj9nPsQuzN #mdpisustainability via @Sus_MDPI

(1) define social distancing as normative injunctively AND descriptively
(2) affirm that this is consistent with broader ingroup/national values that define 'us'

Last night I had the privilege and pleasure of wearing a fancy velvet bonnet and graduating along with many other amazing students.
Thanks very much to Prof Ruth Nettle, Dr Margaret Ayre, @SoniaGrahamBuch and @FVASunimelb for all the support!
@tiphillips @FVASunimelb Sounds brilliant, Tom! Especially having a reasonable income, more easily accessible research funding and funds for international travel, which can be so much more expensive when you live in Australia.
How can we bring some of these practices to Australia?
This afternoon it was fantastic to see a complete summary of all the hard work done by @JLacyNichols during her PhD research on links between soft drinks, obesity and corporate power. This cycle of political influence was a highlight.
Next Monday I'll be giving my PhD completion seminar, titled 'The role of social norms in collective action for weed management across rural private property'.
If you can't make it in person, please e-mail or DM me for details of how to join in via video conferencing software.
