This is by many measures a shallow view of Dowry & Bride Price.
You marry for lifetime. (Or pretend you will stay together for lifetime ).
Bride price is a token of thank you to the parents. To put it on virginity like the Boy is virgin is or like virginity stays fr life is….

@KakandeAlex nah. the problem is people try to justify bride price as culture and that same culture tied virginity to bride price in many or most cases. we need to just throw away the whole damn thing and try to focus more on family values. we are losing the family battle badly.
