It's worth knowing that at the time of the Protestant Reformation, the word "Protest" had a positive meaning: "To affirm with solemnity; to make a solemn declaration of a fact or opinion" (as well as a negative meaning, which continues today) 1/

@Andrewnsnyder I'm told I've been grafted in, so yeah, I'm a fan. (Not a reference to the modern nation. But since it's the only democracy in the Middle East, I like it ok, too.)
@Robbservations2@DrFrankTurek You have overwhelmed me with screenshots from Google searches and strawman cartoons.
But for the record, I certainly never said there was no evidence for Christianity, I only said there was no extra-biblical evidence for Moses, and maybe there never will be.
@Robbservations2@AngelArmy150232@DrFrankTurek Well, the gay priests certainly weren't living according to Christian teaching, so maybe they were atheists! Good point! There are a lot of atheist priests out there.
@Robbservations2@AngelArmy150232@DrFrankTurek There are lots of LGBT child molestation scandals. I bet there's plenty of atheists among them. Atheistic beliefs are usually not brought up because it's not as scandalous as when it's a Christian. Because Christianity is the source of moral standards that the West is built upon.
@Robbservations2@DrFrankTurek Yes, books of poetry and wisdom are non-historical in nature and have zero extra-biblical evidence to back them up. You're very smart.
@Robbservations2@DrFrankTurek Ooh, you got me with an AI summary of "scholarship." I give up.
Scholarly consensus is ever changing, and it's always changing toward the accuracy of the Bible. A century and a half ago, the "scholarly consensus" was that the Hittites were made up by the biblical authors.
@RWMaloneMD@bobmill14548888 Vance and Rubio seem like the frontrunners for '28. I like them both, but I think DeSantis would be a better President. I'd love to see him as VP and then POTUS before going to the SCOTUS, but I also wonder who will replace Alito and Thomas, which sadly might be soon.
@Robbservations2@AngelArmy150232@DrFrankTurek Yes, but Christianity has never denied that people are sinners or that people would claim to be Christian who weren't. People in power sometimes abuse power. That's no different in atheist orgs or in any other religion.
@Robbservations2@DrFrankTurek Incredible oversimplification. Many books of the Bible are historical in nature and have a lot of extra-biblical evidence to back them up. The Koran does not.
@ryanburge Interesting. I was raised Assemblies of God, and I now attend a Non-Denom Pentecostal church with AG roots. But the church my wife and I visit most often is Episcopal. (I would bet that more than 13% of that particular congregation identifies as Evangelical, though.)
@DVirtualAnomaly@Daily_MailUS Didn't say I did understood the Trinity. I understand Christian theology and the DOCTRINE of the Trinity, and I'd be glad to have a conversation about it.
