Once you cut people out of your life, you need to become very comfortable with them talking bad and making things up about you. Because they will fill your silence and your absence with stories that make them feel better about losing access to you. People rarely take accountability when it’s easier to paint you as the villain.
You need boredom. A lot of it. Start by going on walks without music. No stimulation. No distractions of any kind. If you learn to sit with your own thoughts, for long enough, in time they will start serving you. You'll start having ideas once again. You'll start developing an extreme sense of clarity that will shift you into the next stage of your life. All by being bored, which is pretty insane.
my wealthiest friends are absolutely ruthless about cutting negative people out of their lives. no warning, no conversation, no closure. one day you exist, the next day you don’t.
it’s almost like they’re allergic to them. broke is contagious and they refuse to catch it. honestly i respect the discipline. protect your energy, protect your mind space, and all of that.
anyway that’s how i found out we were no longer friends.
A real man can be carrying the weight of the world and still say,
"I'll handle it."
He might have an empty bank account and no clear path forward.
Still, that's what he'll say.
He'll get frustrated.
He'll get tired.
But somehow, he always finds a way.
Respect to the men who keep showing up when life gives them every reason not to.
you have been lied to about fat, lied to about cholesterol, lied to about red meat, lied to about eggs, lied to about sunlight and lied to about fasting. every single thing that is free and builds you has been demonized. everything that is processed and profitable has been promoted.
