This Christmas season, Kamloops Fire Rescue urges everyone to make smart choices. Think before you drink, and remember: donβt drink and drive! Let's keep our roads safe for everyone.
Space heaters can save the day in winterβbut misuse causes thousands of fires yearly! π₯ Picture cozy evenings by the fire, yet it only takes a moment of distraction for danger to strike. Stay warm, stay safe, and keep a watchful eye! π β¨
Lest we forget
Today, we honor the brave veterans who made the ultimate sacrifice. Kamloops Fire Rescue stands in remembrance, reflecting on their courage and commitment. Let us carry their legacy forward with gratitude.

This past weekend, Kamloops Fire Rescue, the RCMP, and Community Safety Officers responded to a report of a dog trapped beneath a dock. The teams acted swiftly to rescue the dog, which was clinging desperately in the cold, fast-moving waters of the Thompson River.
Building connections with our youth!
Kamloops Fire Rescue members take pride in educating and engaging with our youth. We love spending time with them, making them feel like part of our family!
@kamloopsfirerescue and @sd73 teamed up for another great Girls Camp! The girls learned what it takes to be a Kamloops Firefighter and did an amazing job!
Look good, feel good! Thanks to Hub Kamloops for their generous donation to outfit our new Fire Prevention truck. Funk Signs knocked it out of the park!
Ce-dar you later.
Bad jokes aside, our Community Fuel Reduction Rebate has already removed truck loads of flammable plants from Kamloops properties.if you signed up and havenβt received a call, please be patient!
Less than 48 hours after it was launched, a new FireSmart rebate program in #Kamloops has been frozen.
Why?
It's too successful!
The program, offering up to $800 per household, is funded by the city's Climate Action Reserve.
The City of Kamloops Fuel Reduction rebate is live! If you've got cedars within 5 meters of your home, we'll pay you to get rid of them. Offered to the entire city, go to https://t.co/4EIXZVdZ66 and book your free FireSmart assessment to get started!
Residents across #Kamloops will be eligible for the City's rebate, while residents in the 10 electoral areas will be eligible for the @TNRD's rebate. | DETAILS:

This week and every week we want to take a moment to appreciate our beloved dispatchers who are an incredibly valued part of the @kamloopsfirescue team. Thank you for all you do.
No cedars no problems. If you have cedars within 1.5 meters of your home, it greatly increases the fuel load. Maybe itβs time to remove them. Great job Earls!
