'Andor' creator Tony Gilroy's Peabody Awards Acceptance Speech:
“We spent six years contemplating a fascist takeover of a galaxy far, far away. Six years thinking about what happens to ordinary beings when an authoritarian, insane, unchecked regime comes into the deal, and the show is really kind of what we learned"
“If you’re not willing to fight for the things that you love, your family, community, your culture, your planet, your truth, freedom, there’s an asshole ready to come in and take it away. We learned that bravery and sacrifice and resistance comes in all shapes and sizes, and we learned that courage is contagious"
“There’s so much is happening, it’s a fire hose of crap that you just can’t get through. And here we are. There isn’t a new cycle that goes by right now that doesn’t contain a variety of outrages that in any other time in our history in America wouldn’t be grounds for treason"
“Please do not stop. Please do not turn out the lights until we can kill this nightmare… and fuck the Empire!”

Already loving finding things in this trailer,
the island backdrop that's in the store, is seen a couple seconds later in a stretched out version in the Backrooms
It's funny how there's a resurgence of the idea that AC was actually wrong to ditch this stuff, in 2012 most people were desperate for it to be eradicated.
Who knew designing games based on a wide collection of feedback data is inferior to just sticking with an artistic vision?
the modern day conspiracy stuff is truly what made assassins creed assassins creed
it may have not been very good in practice but the series is kinda aimless without it
This is the image that will define this war - 165 young Iranian girls, killed while at school, who are mere ‘collateral damage’ to an out of control US-Israeli war machine.
My biggest hot-take - at least in this corner of the Internet - is that House of the Dragon Season 2 wasn't bad at all and that adapting an IN-UNIVERSE HISTORY BOOK WITH UNRELIABLE ACCOUNTS is not the same as adapting a novel with characters & dialogues. Fire & Blood doesn't have scenes. It doesn't have bridges between interactions, it has characterisation but not enough for a direct, multi-season adaptation. House of the Dragon HAD to take liberties. There are some aspects I didn't like either, but overall, if anything, I found many of the characters more compelling than their book counterparts.
Season 2 did not have a climax due to the writer's strike and that's obviously detrimental to the season, but they had their hands tied and they are delivering the exact payoff we would have gotten in the first 2 episodes of Season 3 now.
Bad Bunny’s Super Bowl show was the first male-led one to be as good as the female-led ones. Gay guys may even consider watching it at music video and coke Fridays
The U.S. House just passed legislation to criminalize transgender sex transitions on minors, including surgeries, puberty blockers and hormone therapy.
207 Democrats and 4 Republicans voted against it.
