Hi, @YQRTransit
Walking on Montague st. just South of Parliament I had to step on the road to avoid ice and water. Instead of slowing down or moving over on an empty street the route 9 bus flashed lights, maintained lane, and accelerated forcing me to hop on a pile of us.
“The dumbest trade war in history”
The WSJ Editorial Board slams Trump’s trade war with Camada and Mexico:
“Mr. Trump sometimes sounds as if the U.S. shouldn’t import anything at all, that America can be a perfectly closed economy making everything at home. This is called autarky, and it isn’t the world we live in, or one that we should want to live in, as Mr. Trump may soon find out…
None of this is supposed to happen under the U.S.-Mexico-Canada trade agreement that Mr. Trump negotiated and signed in his first term. The U.S. willingness to ignore its treaty obligations, even with friends, won’t make other countries eager to do deals. Maybe Mr. Trump will claim victory and pull back if he wins some token concessions.
But if a North American trade war persists, it will qualify as one of the dumbest in history."

Tonight, I’m thinking about Justice Murray Sinclair and of the times that I was lucky enough to hear him speak about his work with the TRC. This moment stands out for me. It’s his answer when he was asked, “Why can’t you just get over it?”
We've graded all political parties on their platforms for public education.
❌ The STF's report card shows that the Sask Party is NOT meeting expectations on per-student funding, class size and complexity and classroom violence.
✔️ The NDP is meeting expectations on all three.

“You’ve got this entitled white guy who has failed upwards his entire life running the province and is now at the pinnacle of his power in that role,” Robert says. “He has become more dangerous and more reckless because of this.”

The farms discussed in the research cited here accrued between $10 and $15 million dollars in capital gains on land between 1996 and today. $370-500k in capital gains on land per year. Farms are worth 10-12x what they were in 1996. In case you were wondering.
Did you know: Per-student funding at Regina Public Schools will be $10,173 in 2024-25. If funding had kept pace with inflation since 2016, the adjusted figure would’ve been $12,159.
