My advice to the individuals at Roedean - apologise unequivocally for the anti Semitic , racist incident , apologise for the teachers bowing to the bullying of anti semitic parents and their children , apologise for the cover up , apologise for all of it and give an undertaking to take all parents and learners to the Holocaust & Genocide centre , and embark on a program to combat all antisemitic behaviour going forward - everything else will leave you exposed in the most damaging way that will tarnish the legacy of this once pristine school forever .
Roedean headmistress has reportedly resigned from her post over an antisemitism scandal raising questions about whether one of the school's first black leaders is being scapegoated.

Open Letter to Roedean
8.2.2026
Dear Phuti Mogale, Lindi Dlamini, Dale Quaker and the Board of Roedean:
Re: your cancelation of a tennis match with King David girls
I write on behalf of myself and all the undersigned – whose signatures will reach you in due course, and in which listings you will find not only ex Roedeanians of all ages, but also other members of the independent schools with whom I have managed to make contact - in regard to your utterly reprehensible cancellation of a tennis match with King David girls.
My mother, myself and my daughter went to Roedean. Two of us from start to finish, and my daughter from start to Grade 10. She finished at SJC. Our combined family Roedean histories date from 1948 to 2022.
To say that we are utterly revolted by your repulsive action is to put it mildly. To publically side with a politically religious ideology against Jewish schoolgirls runs against every tenet of decency - not to mention every standard of critical, or independent thinking - that Roedean has ever striven to uphold. We will forebear from quoting your own historic published principles back to you, however we are sure that you know what they are.
We would remind you that Jews were always in the often dangerous forefront of opposition and resistance to apartheid in this country. We would remind you that espousing, as an independent school, any social media driven ‘contemporary narrative’ without doing the homework that leadership requires approaches the foremost limits of irresponsibility. In saying this, we acknowledge that you are neither a ‘democracy’, nor, equally importantly, that you have ever been a ‘church school’. Your action this weekend simply effectively messages an abrogation of duty (both moral and educational) in the independent, wholistic - and without fear or favour - education of the bright young fee-paying girls whom you claim to prepare for decent, empowered and upstanding lives.
To allow a politically religious ideology which subjugates women to derail your principles of educating and empowering young women simply boggles the mind. There is no other way to put it.
We would remind you that a selective morality is no morality at all.
We would also note that since the Headmistress-ship of the excellent and fearless Mary Williams came to an end, the leadership of Roedean has steadily fallen into the trap of that other vicious ideology, and here we refer to the aims of Critical Racial Theory. If, as a governing board of educated people, you are unable to see that Identity Politics is the exact foundation of Apartheid thinking, then it becomes apparent that there is no critically aware leadership in place at the School.
Finally, if you were to adhere to only one of your stated aims, and here we would be referring to “Diversity and Inclusion”, you should be left in no doubt that a simple tennis match against Jewish girls would demonstrate your commitment to that precise principle. Instead, you have demonstrated the exact opposite. I would also remind you that your absolutely outstanding headgirl of 2025 happens to be a Jew.
Herewith, the undersigned express their undiluted disgust and contempt with regard to your morally bankrupt action. How you respond to this egregious act of what amounts to anti-semitism is in your hands.
This letter goes to ISASA too, and will appear on Facebook in my name.
Yours faithfully,
Sarah Calburn, class of 81.

@salaamedia If I still had Kids at school I would refuse to let them play Roedean, Any school with a shred of decency would do the same. Roedean have just put their Kids back to the1930's. SHAME on them for teaching kids this rubbish.
As an Old Roedeanian, I strongly condemn antisemitism and any form of discrimination. This has NO place in our school.
I urge Roedean to issue a formal apology to King David and to take swift, serious and decisive action for those responsible. #RoedeanSchoolSA
🚨 Please Watch & Share:
Johannesburg: Roedean School for Girls refused to play a scheduled tennis match against Jewish students from King David High School Linksfield.
Why?
They claimed their students felt “triggered” last year by hostage posters and security guards, a claim that makes little sense given the match was set to be played on Roedean’s own campus.
Jewish institutions are the only schools in South Africa that require security due to well-documented threats. You wonder why?
👉 And this is coming from one of South Africa’s most elite, upmarket private schools, founded during the apartheid era🤔
Excluding Jewish students on that basis is pure religious discrimination. Period.

📍🇿🇦Johannesburg, South Africa: Roedean School for Girls’ refusal to play a scheduled tennis match against Jewish students from King David High School Linksfield is indefensible. Excluding children because they are Jewish is blatant discrimination and a direct violation of South Africa’s constitutional commitment to equality, dignity, and freedom from religious discrimination.
The Roedean School principal claimed that parents from her school were concerned about hostage posters and the presence of armed security—security that Jewish institutions require precisely because of persistent and well-documented antisemitic threats. Punishing Jewish students for taking measures to protect themselves from antisemitism is not neutrality; it is complicity.
There is no lawful or moral justification for singling out Jewish children and denying them equal participation in school sports. This conduct demands accountability.
Whasapp forward 💥
DHURANDHAR – THE FILM THAT BROKE BOLLYWOOD’S SPINE AND EXPOSED AN ENTIRE ECOSYSTEM
I walked into Dhurandhar expecting a good action film.
I walked out realizing I had just witnessed something Indian cinema has not attempted in 70 years.
Let me say this upfront:
**If you want to know who truly stands with India and who stands with narrative handlers…
Watch their reaction to this movie.
This film is a litmus test. A filter. A mirror.
Because when The Wire calls a brilliant film “as subtle as a troll” and gets 600 likes…
And a simple reply saying “Why is your pichwada on fire?” gets 3,700 likes…
You know exactly where the country’s pulse is.
THE ELEPHANT IN THE ROOM: BOLLYWOOD NEVER SHOWED THE TRUTH
For decades, Bollywood has been a propaganda factory — not because Indians lack reality, but because reality made certain people uncomfortable.
Let’s talk history.
Mughals in India:
Patricidal, barbaric invaders who ravaged the subcontinent, destroyed temples, wiped out dynasties, and occupied Delhi.
Mughals in Bollywood:
Jodha Akbar… Mughal-e-Azam… Salim-Anarkali…
All silk curtains, roses, poetry, and fictional love stories.
The truth was replaced with aesthetic Instagram filters before Instagram even existed.
PAXTAAN: A COUNTRY RESPONSIBLE FOR GLOBAL TERROR — SOFTENED INTO A TEDDY BEAR ON SCREEN
Reality:
• IC-814 hijack
• Parliament attack
• Mumbai 1993
• Mumbai 2008
• Kashmir terror
• Global jihad funneling
Bollywood’s version:
• Bajrangi Bhaijaan: “Paxtaanis are sweet.”
• Main Hoon Na: “Bas misunderstandings hain.”
• Tiger series: India–Paxtaan bhai-bhai undercover romance.
• Pathaan: High-budget glamour shot of the same state waging hybrid war on us.
Even Border, which shows Pakistani aggression, ends in “Aman ki Asha” songs.
This is not cinema.
This is narrative engineering.
And why wouldn’t it be?
When the Mumbai underworld, funded through Paxtaan, controlled Bollywood through the 80s and 90s…
When fake currency printed across the border pumped into India…
When “superstars” danced in private parties for D-company’s kids…
What kind of films did you expect to be made?
Truth? Or convenient fiction?
ENTER DHURANDHAR — THE FIRST FILM THAT SHOWS THE MONSTER EXACTLY AS IT IS
For the first time, a mainstream film shows:
✔ The Karachi underworld as the terror pipeline it truly is
✔ Layari as the breeding ground of transnational crime
✔ How terrorists infiltrate politics, borders, intelligence
✔ How India quietly fights a silent war every single day
✔ How information, not bullets, is the new battlefield
✔ How our own internal narratives have been hijacked for decades
And here’s the twist:
Not once does the movie mention religion.
Not once does it demonize ordinary people.
It exposes the terror state, not citizens.
This is why the “anti-Muslim” accusation is not just wrong —
it’s lazy, dishonest, and shows who is scared of the truth.
THE PERFORMANCES — OUT OF THIS WORLD
Akshaye Khanna
I said after CHHAVA that he was back.
But here?
He is untouchable.
A clinical, surgical performance.
R. MADHAVAN AS AJIT DOVAL
Every dialogue of his is a punch to the soul.
The line of the year:
“India’s worst enemies are inside India.
Paxtaan comes next.”
Truth so sharp it can cut stone.
Sanju Baba, Rampal, the entire Layari ensemble
World-class casting. Dark, gritty, believable.
No caricatures. No overacting. No Bollywood gloss.
Ranveer Singh
This one shocked me.
I never thought I’d say this, but he delivered the performance of his life.
To take on this role knowing:
• he will lose the Middle East market
• Bollywood elites will shun him
• critics will attack him
• his PR image will be dismantled
…yet he still did it?
That’s courage.
That’s conviction.
That’s what being an actor actually means.
This film has one heartbeat.
One mind.
One courage.
Aditya Dhar.
