Today evening , I concluded my three day visit to Ol kalou Constituency. To stand in and boost campaign of a little known Timothy Kamau Kariuki (Timo) vying on the newest party in town, the People's Renaissance Movement (PM party) .

A 26 year old candidate whose main means of transport in the campaign was a donkey, I leave Ol kalou,having popularised Timo from a boy hardly knowm beyong his local primary school to now among the top 3 contestants in the by election.

How I wish I came earlier.

I am proud because I have helped an ambitious young man to participate in a high voltage election, marred by chaos, voter bribery ,massive use of state resources and hundreds of big wigs supporting older well established candidates.

This is a win.

A win to millions of young Kenyans who believe Kenya has a place for them too; who compete without a family name, without a God father and deficient of resources to navigate the highly capital intensive, tribal political environment whose main strength is the burning desire to serve their country from the position of high authority.

Timothy Kamau Kariuki,has shown the way, and PM party proves to be the party for the youths,irrespective of the outcome of this election,he has already won.

From a college student dubbed Genz protester against finance bill of 2024, to a potential winner in a highly state sponsored by election.

Even if, in the unlikely event, he does not make it on thursday ,definitely he stand as the next MP in the 2027 election.

It was nice while it lasted in Ol kalou.

The warm welcome, the highly cosmopolitan town bustling with serenity, green, iced with soft nyama choma outlets. It was captivating to walk down the small villages of highly welcoming and friendly natives ,ready to listen to visitors and offered us audience even when we did not carry money.

I salute you Ol kalou. I love you Ol Kalou. You remain the best voters after my great people of Saboti, that I have ever met since I started politics.
May the grace of our dear Lord follow you;may His light shine upon you all the days of your lives and may you be blessed beyond your fourth (4th) generation.

I will definitely come back to say thank you.
