Be very careful before sending money in response to online medical appeals. In this case, a man claimed his minor sister needed eye treatment, shared fake medical documents and collected over ₹1.5 lakh.

The fraud came to light after @itsmesabita and @IndiaCares_2020 team checked directly with the hospital and alerted people.

Please don’t donate merely because a story is emotional or the documents look genuine. Ask questions and verify before sending money.

India Cares has always verified requests before supporting them. Now the team is also spotting suspicious appeals and warning others.

Helping the needy matters. Protecting good-hearted people from scammers matters too.

We all saw the condition of the TVK HQ gate and criticised it on X including Supporters. But my friend thought beyond criticism and actually came forward to clean it himself.

He has been involved in social-impact work for nearly 15 years. He made it clear that he wouldn’t take photos or videos and wanted no publicity. Still, they didn’t allow him and told him to go to Greams Road, get permission from the General Secretary and then return.

His initiative deserves respect. Why should a volunteer have to chase the General Secretary for permission to do one simple good deed? If security rules prevent outsiders from cleaning the gate, the HQ team should at least take responsibility and get it cleaned immediately.

Criticising is easy. Stepping forward to solve the problem is rare. He went there to clean the mess not to show off or embarrass anyone.

At 20, Bittu Tabahi stepped into a polluted river — without gloves, boots or even knowing how to swim — and started cleaning it himself.

On 26 January 2026, the BSc student from Madhya Pradesh began cleaning the Ajnar River near a temple in Biaora, removing plastic and other waste that had turned parts of the river into a dumping ground.

He even began turning puja waste into compost and pooled money with friends to buy tools and dustbins.

The effort cost him around ₹30,000, and at one point, he suffered infections on his hands.

Then his work reached thousands online. Some accused him of doing it for likes.

Bittu’s surname means “destruction.” Today, he is trying to destroy something else: water pollution.

Because sometimes, change begins when one person stops waiting for someone else to start.

Dyson’s new CameraJet toothbrush is a true feat of engineering, using AI to brush and floss simultaneously. Its intraoral camera spots gaps between teeth to fire a precision jet of mouthwash into these gaps.

Developed over 6 years of research and trained using >470,000 dental images, the trained algorithm receives images from a 100,000 pixel, 1mm macro intraoral camera and is designed to identify, track and predict interdental gaps.

During use, it analyses 28 frames/second and can trigger the fluid jet within 100 ms of detecting a gap. A stroboscopic light operates at 257Hz, deliberately out of phase with the rapidly moving brush head, to obtain interpretable images despite motion.

Plaque mechanics also factored into the design. Dyson collaborated for 5 years with the University of Singapore’s Faculty of Dentistry to develop a lab model that mimicked dental plaque to permit repeated bench testing. Engineers used the model to optimise the geometry and fluid dynamics of the jet, leading to a conventional narrow/needle jet which punctures the model plaque, and a second broader conical jet to sweep plaque away over a larger area at lower pressure.
