Today's a big day for the man behind the mask, and not just because it's National Mascot Day. After 35 years as KC Wolf, Dan Meers will be officially hanging up the suit.

Dan has been an integral part of #ChiefsKingdom for over three decades and has cemented himself as one of the best mascots of all time!

Stay tuned as we'll be sharing some of our favorite KC Wolf moments in the coming weeks before his official retirement on July 1 ❤️

A family visited my church this morning. They’ve visited several churches the last few months.

The mother told me what stood out was how many people at our church spoke to them.

That seemed odd to me. I asked, “is that unusual?”

She said in all the churches they’d visited, hardly anyone had spoken to them. Several churches in just a couple of months. Hardly anyone spoke to them. But this morning they met and spoke to several different people.

She actually started crying. Clearly this was a pain point for her. I couldn’t tell if they were tears of pain or joy. Maybe both. Either way, they clearly felt at home simply because people were friendly and talked to them.

By the time I’d met them, they’d already been invited to a small group by someone else.

Hospitality is real ministry. Talk to people at church. The little things matter.
