Rajasthan FMGs are working in hospitals, treating patients, doing duties and carrying responsibilities just like other interns. So why are we being treated differently? If our services are good enough for the government hospitals, why isn’t our stipend?Is this justice? Is this equality? Or are FMGs simply being ignored because we have no political voice?
We are doctors, **not free labour.**

FMGE INTERNS’ STIPEND ISSUE RAISED

The long-pending stipend issue of FMGE interns was raised before Hon’ble MLA Shri Sandeep Sharma Ji by Dr. Kapil Nandwana and Dr. Akshay Meena.
Hon’ble MLA assured his intervention and stated that he will communicate with the CMO Office and the Ministry of Health for necessary action and resolution of the issue.
We sincerely appreciate his support and commitment towards addressing the concerns of FMGE interns. @BhajanlalBjp @RajCMO

I’m going to say something uncomfortable about Rajasthan’s system.

FMG interns went to Ms. Gayatri Rathore, a senior officer in the Medical & Health Department, to raise the stipend issue. They reportedly waited for hours just to get a hearing.

And according to the students who were there, they were told that FMGs are not equal to IMGs, along with the remark: “मेरा मुँह मत खुलवाओ।”

If that is what happened, then this isn't just about stipend anymore.

Since when does holding a higher government position give anyone the right to speak to people like they own them?

A government officer is supposed to serve the system, listen to citizens and maintain basic professional conduct, not make people feel inferior because they have less power.

And this isn't happening in isolation.

Go inside many government hospitals and you see the same ugly culture: hierarchy over professionalism, power over accountability, people afraid to question those above them, and patients and junior doctors expected to simply tolerate whatever comes from the person sitting higher up.

This is not what a professional healthcare system is supposed to look like.

What's even more depressing is that we keep calling ourselves a country destined for greatness.

We talk about becoming a global power.
We talk about being a developed nation.
We talk about world-class healthcare.

Yet there are smaller countries with far fewer resources where basic professional behaviour is simply expected.

You walk into an office, you get heard.
You disagree, you discuss it.
You hold a position of authority, you don't get to treat everyone below you like they're beneath you.

Why does that basic standard seem so difficult here?

I used to have a lot of faith in this country. I still want this country to succeed. But when you repeatedly see incompetence, unchecked authority, humiliation and a complete lack of accountability from the people who are supposed to run the system, you start wondering:

Is there something seriously rotten inside the system we keep pretending isn't there?

And then comes our stipend fight.

We aren't just fighting ₹0 anymore.

We're fighting a culture where people with power can make you wait for hours, dismiss you, speak down to you and still expect you to quietly go back to work.

Will this ever change?

I don't know.

But I know one thing:

We cannot keep accepting this as normal.

जब MBBS इंटर्न को राजस्थान के अलावा पूरे देश में स्टाइपेंड दिया जा रहा है राजस्थान मे ं भी इंडियन मेडिकल ग्रेजुएट को 22700 का monthly स्टाइपेंड राजस्थान सरकार दे रही है तो NMC की परीक्षा FMGE पास करने के बाद हमे ं इंटर्नशिप के लिए कॉलेज RMC द्वारा दिए जाते ह ै ं फिर हम FMG स्टूडेंट को स्टाइपेंड क्यों नही ं मिल रही हैं, इसी मुद्दे को लेकर RMC (raj. Medical council) गए वहाँ पर बोला गया कि DME ऑफिस जाओ, वहां से बोला गया कि फाइनेंस मिनिस्ट्री मे ं जाओ, वहाँ पर हमें IAS गायत्री राठौर से मिलने को कहा गया उनस े 3 घंट े इंजतार के बाद बातचीत हुई ं उसमें बोला गया कि हमे ं भी IMG इंटर्न डॉक्टरो के बराबर स्टाइपेंड दिया जाए, तो बोली कि " मेरा मुंह मत खुलवाओ, तुम IMGs के बराबर कभी नही ं आ सकते " ये वही ं गायत्री राठौर है ं जिन्होंने कुछ बेरोजगारो को बोला कि" सरकार से पूछकर पैदा हुए हो" ये रवैया एक IAS लेवल का अधिकारी कर रहा ह ै ं सिर्फ अपना अधिकार मांगन े पर, क्या ये उचित हैं
