@Scr0atyMcBooger @EM_RESUS Higher food safety standards mostly, though an infection like this from pork is really rare in North America even with the lower standards. Most infections are from wild game.
@lammle @financedystop Subaru mechanics have told me a half tank is the best time for some models and years, as they have in-tank filters that will dry out and degrade if left below a half tank for too long.
@AncientArgonaut @xBL1TZD @kirawontmiss It's also the reason why cyclists have a poor reputation here. You *must* aggressively protect your spot, or you *will* be run off the road by someone intruding into your space illegally and often dangerously but with no enforcement.
@AncientArgonaut @xBL1TZD @kirawontmiss Unfortunately, not the case in North America. It's common that even in cases where the letter of the law says that a pedestrian has the right-of-way, in practice they don't, as no law enforcement officer or court is willing to enforce it. Vehicles almost always have priority here
@Viscous_cree@chiweethedog@EmericanAconomy Even that sounds like an absurd price to me living in Alberta; just the other day I got strip steaks on sale for CA$6/lb, or US$4.16/lb. Regular price ribeye is like CA$12/lb (US$8.31)!
@throwback262399 @Angelica_Reed1@Gryffix Covered under American power projection. You think the US government would just give anything to anyone without some ulterior motive? Lol
