@JoshButler Sorry, worded part of that wrong, no one should have to publicly disclose their medical history. Guess we’re all getting angry & cynical about the way the pandemic is being handled in this country.
@JoshButler Sure he has strong views, but then he needs to accept the consequences of them. If he has an actual medical condition he should be open about it, if not then accept the conditions of entry.
The amount of local cafes shutting temporarily due to CoVid related staff shortages is depressing & will keep happening till this is under control. Plus kids in & out of school & furloughed HCWs. This is NOT good economic or social policy. #covid19vic#ScottyDoesNothing
So is there going to be somewhere to officially record positive RATs? Otherwise how can we keep valid data (important for current & future planning), ensure people get support, and make sure people who should be isolating do? #covid19vic#COVID19Aus#ScottyDoesNothing
The idea we could open up and go back to ‘normal’ while other countries are barely vaccinated was always a fools paradise. ‘Living with Covid’ means planning for outbreaks, being prepared & agile and making modifications. #covid19aus#covid19vic#ScottyDoesntGiveARats
‘Living with COVID’ is fun, huh? Maybe before opening fully the Govt. should have done some scenario planning & prepared for the possible consequences? #covid19vic#covid19nsw#COVID19Aus#ScottyDoesNothing
Apparently forgotten by end 2021:
• Long COVID
• HCWs
• health system is also needed for other illnesses & accidents
• the vulnerable
• under 12s
• most people are currently ineligible for booster
• ventilation
• forward thinking & planning

@adamajacoby People can’t afford (or even find) the RATs we now have to use because he stuffed up again, Casuals out of work, 1000s in isolation on NYE. He really can’t read the room can he? Also, photoshopped much?
Being sick sucks, even mildly sick. What kind of ethics allow a situation where more people get sick just so we can have crowds spending at sports matches or clubs? It’s more dollars than sense. And the sick can’t work so that’ll end well. #ScottyDoesNothing#Domicron#covid19vic
@pollwatcher9@VictorianCHO This is pretty disappointing TBH. None of Brett Sutton’s recommendations are particularly onerous. We had these restrictions during a lot of 2020/2021 and we coped. What’s distressing is being sick & worrying about passing it on to others.
@Safe_Leigh @MartinFoleyMP I assume the venue still has to inform you that you have been near a COVID case. Better to know and act accordingly than spread it all over the place I would think.
Can we get a coherent, rational explanation for this change, one that’s based on science and medical advice? Not just ‘Omicron is different’? Because otherwise we will just assume it’s yet another stuff up. #COVID19Aus#covid19vic#ScottyTheAnnouncer
@9NewsQueensland So is this basically code for ‘We stuffed up the forward planning yet again and we don’t know how to fix it so we give up because......the economy.’? #ScottyDoesNothing#COVID19Aus
@10NewsFirst So spend 3.5 hours in a household with someone coughing over you or 4 hours in a packed nightclub without masks and you’re good to go? I hope people have more commonsense than #Scottydoesnothing
@VicGovDH Case numbers do matter. People sick & isolating can’t work = staff shortages, impacting the supply chain, health system & economy. We need extra mitigations, like density limits and an urgent program to help businesses introduce proper ventilation.
@pollwatcher9 It would be interesting to see stats or analysis about the difference between NSW/Vic at the same point. Maybe NSW had a steadier increase/Vic had huge spikes? Less partially vaccinated people? Etc. We DO need to reinforce social distancing & hygiene principles as we open up.
