Liverpool academy 2026/27: A small collection of players that are yet to fully establish themselves within the frame of the first-team or wider fan base. As always, this list is not to suggest everyone will hurtle down the pipeline between first-team and academy and knock down that barrier but I think the players in this list have a chance of a positive season relative to one’s own expectation.

The connection between academy and first-team is a pillar of Liverpool Football Club that only becomes further revered as financial figures spiral out of control with traditional identity in danger of falling into the abyss of modernity.

A new scholarship group has been introduced with 9 of 12 players being at Liverpool since pre-academy including 4 youth internationals.

Liverpool fans might be tentatively encouraged by Andoni Iraola’s early academy integration. Results are binary. Iraola has spoken affably in terms of the academy with time afforded to players on the training and with Lewis Koumas being the best example, if you are a good stylistic fit you will be played.
