Government needs to allocate more funding to specialist subjects. There are budding musicians and athletes who don't even know it. Perhaps school may become more enjoyable for learners too.

Taking away specials/ electives such as Art, Music, PE, etc. to add more content for testing is the same as taking away recess. It may sound like a good idea, but many children come to school for these classes and removing them may remove their joy for learning.
