🇮🇱 ❤️ 🇺🇬 STATUE OF YONI NETANYAHU UNVEILED AT ENTEBBE 50 YEARS AFTER HISTORIC HOSTAGE RESCUE

Uganda unveiled a statue honoring Lt. Col. Yoni Netanyahu at Entebbe Airport, 50 years after he was killed leading Israel’s daring hostage rescue operation. Uganda’s military chief called his leadership and sacrifice “an enduring symbol of courage, duty and selfless service,” while also honoring the hostages murdered during the 1976 hijacking. The ceremony highlighted renewed Uganda-Israel ties and commemorated one of Israel’s most iconic military operations.

Together, we reaffirmed our commitment to promoting transparency, accountability, and improved service delivery for the people of Sembabule and Uganda at large.
