They didnt try and make a real new good movie that could be about mermaids that were black. They just remade and made worse a great love story.

I agree it can be open to adaptations, but this is a souless remake that just shits on a wonderful love story and truly is an insult to the original story.

I am against swapping races for no other reason than representation. If this was made as a new story and not a remake, it would have been fine. But all the swaps suck.
