Jim Carrey was disgusted, calling Hollywood “spineless.”

Years before the slap, Will Smith posted a video exposing how easily his supposedly glamorous life could be faked using a blue screen.

Then he looked into the camera and said something absolutely bizarre:

“I've been totally computer generated since, like, the '90s.”

Followed by:

“It's 2019, y'all. Nothing's real.”

The Oscars meltdown.
The bizarre public revelations about his marriage.
Jada openly discussing her relationship with another man while Will sat across from her.
The carefully managed interviews explaining what supposedly happened.

And now people are going back through years of footage, questioning how much of the Will Smith we've watched is genuine and how much is simply another Hollywood performance.

One thing is undeniable: Will Smith built an entire career convincing audiences to believe what they see on a screen.
