The administration, he noted, is fervently driving the modernisation of the nation's Armed Forces by investing in modern hardware and building the capacity of military personnel to improve their operational planning and combat readiness.

The President stated this on Monday in Port Harcourt, the Rivers State capital, during the Grand Finale of the Nigerian Army Day Celebration 2026/African Land Forces Forum (ALFF), with the theme, "Protecting the Nation and Serving the People: A Way Forward for the Nigerian Army."

Yesterday in Maiduguri, Vice President @KashimSM paid condolence visits to Prof. Shehu Liberty over the passing of his wife, the late Dr. Fatima Shehu Liberty; the family of the late former Deputy Inspector-General of Police, Abdullahi Shettima; and Hajiya Amma Gangaran over the passing of her mother.

During the visits, he prayed Almighty Allah (SWT) to forgive the departed, grant them Aljannatul Firdaus, and comfort their families and loved ones with the strength and patience to bear these irreparable losses.

Meanwhile, as part of his engagements in Maiduguri, the Borno State capital, on Saturday, Vice President @KashimSM also attended the wedding Fatiha of five sons of his close associate, Alhaji Ali Gujja, popularly called Empire.

He also graced the wedding Fatiha of the daughter of another of his friends, Alhaji Bala Mohammed Bukar, all within the Maiduguri metropolis.

At the wedding of one of the five sons of Alhaji Gujja, which represented the others, the Vice President stood in for the father of the bride, Hauwa, while Borno State Governor @ProfZulum, stood in for the father of the groom, Aliyu.

The Federal Government has flagged off the rehabilitation of the Bama-Banki Road and Dikwa-Gamboru-Ngala Road in Borno State, describing the projects as strategic corridors for trade, agriculture, security access, and post-insurgency recovery in the North-East.

The government particularly said road infrastructure remains inseparable from the region's quest for lasting peace and economic recovery.

The Vice President, Senator @KashimSM, who performed the flag-off on behalf of President @officialABAT on Saturday, said the road projects reflect the administration’s commitment to restoring mobility, rebuilding economic confidence, and reconnecting communities that have endured years of insecurity and infrastructural neglect.

Speaking at the event, VP @KashimSM said the two corridors would strengthen cross-border economic activity and widen the reach of security agencies across the North-East.

According to him, roads determine whether farmers can move produce to markets, traders can reach customers, children can access schools, patients can reach healthcare facilities, and security agencies can respond to communities in time.

“Roads are the live wire of our commercial engagements. They determine whether the farmer reaches the market, the trader reaches the customer, the child reaches school, the patient reaches care, and security agencies reach communities in time,” the Vice President said.

The Vice President, Senator @KashimSM, has affirmed Nigeria’s readiness to create jobs, build skills, and expand its productive base through active participation in the global minerals economy.

He underscored the importance of solid minerals in a tech-driven era, saying they are the enduring backbone of every economy since no technology rises without them.

Senator @KashimSM stated this on Thursday while commissioning Diamond New Energy Projects, one of Africa’s lithium processing plants and mining companies in Nasarawa State, on behalf of President @officialABAT.

He identified what he described as the stark choices confronting Nigeria, noting that the nation must either maximise its industrial advantage and turn its endowments into engines of prosperity, or spend years manufacturing excuses for the nation’s lack of innovation.

President @officialABAT has said the opening of the new headquarters of the Economic Community of West African States (@ecowas_cedeao) in Abuja will renew the commitment to regional integration, peace, industrialisation and shared prosperity across West Africa.

He called the new building a symbol of renewal, of resilience, and of confidence in the future of ECOWAS and urged a shift from a regional market to a regional production base.

Speaking at the commissioning of the new edifice on Thursday in Abuja, President @officialABAT, who was represented by Vice President @KashimSM, said the new ECOWAS complex, described as the “Eye of Africa,” is a symbol of the region’s collective resolve to preserve the ideals that inspired the founding of the community more than five decades ago.

“Today marks not only the inauguration of an impressive landmark, but the renewal of a covenant, our covenant with the ideals of regional integration, solidarity, and shared prosperity,” the President said.

The Vice President, Senator @KashimSM, has explained some of the strategies being deployed by the administration of President @officialABAT to improve the ease of doing business in Nigeria.

According to him, through the Presidential Enabling Business Environment Council (@PEBECgovng), as well as the bold structural and fiscal reforms, the Federal Government has replaced gatekeeping with partnership that has enabled the subnationals to unlock their economic potential.

Senator @KashimSM, who stated this on Wednesday when he declared open the Jigawa State Investment Summit 2026 in Dutse, the state capital, noted that across the federation, the President @officialABAT-led Federal Government has taken difficult but necessary decisions to put the economy back on a path of sustainable growth.

“On our part, we have made it easier to do business in Nigeria. Through the PEBEC, we have simplified registrations and permits, and brought the cost and time of starting and running a business steadily down. The Business Facilitation Act has given these reforms the force of law, binding our agencies to transparency, predictability, and speed.”

One week after inaugurating the Karu Satellite Town Water Supply Network in Karu, President @officialABAT, on Monday, returned to the Abuja satellite town, where he commissioned the newly rehabilitated and expanded roads from the Karu Interchange to the Customs Clinic Junction, including other vital adjoining roads.

He said the road projects and other infrastructural developments are a clear testament to his promise to resolve urban congestion and uplift the living standards of Nigerians.

The Nigerian leader, who was represented at the commissioning by his deputy, Vice President @KashimSM, explained that by expanding and rehabilitating the roads, his administration is not just laying asphalt but injecting life back into the nation’s local economy.

He noted that when he assumed office in 2023, his administration “recognized that true development must reach where the people actually live, work, and commute.

“Indeed, this project stands as a clear testament to our promise to resolve urban congestion and uplift the living standards of our people. It is a direct product of our Renewed Hope Agenda in action,” he stated.

Also in Jos, Plateau State, I graced the wedding reception of Nanbam Mutfwang, daughter of the Governor of Plateau State, Barr. Caleb Mutfwang, and Jeremiah Ayodele.

Marriage remains one of the strongest symbols of unity, reminding us that what binds us together as Nigerians is far greater than whatever seeks to divide us. As I joined family, friends, and well-wishers in celebrating the couple, I also encouraged the people of Plateau State to continue building bridges of peace and unity in the collective pursuit of progress.

President @officialABAT has defended his administration’s decision to prioritise infrastructural development under the Renewed Hope Agenda, saying it is the backbone of a modern economy.

He said Renewed Hope is not just a slogan but roads and ease for the common man, just as he urged Nigerians to continue to support his administration’s infrastructural drive.

Speaking on Friday when he commissioned the Collector Roads 01 and 02 in Mabushi District of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), the President, who was represented by his deputy, Vice President @KashimSM, pledged that with the support of the citizens, his government will continue to build more roads, create more jobs, and restore full confidence in governance.

Defending his administration’s focus on infrastructural development, the Nigerian leader noted that the collector roads have created new, seamless links that ease flow across Mabushi, from the bus terminal into the wider FCT.

As the rainy season peaks, with its torrential downpour, the Vice President, Senator @KashimSM, has directed the activation of the Fusion and Trigger Room concept for coordination and early action to combat flooding in Nigeria.

Accordingly, he asked the Anticipatory Action Task Force (AATF), the National Emergency Management Agency (@nemanigeria), and other relevant agencies to immediately review and update the budget in line with approved allocations and establish clear priorities for implementation.

Senator @KashimSM, who gave the directive on Thursday during a meeting of the AATF at the Presidential Villa, Abuja, insisted on a shift from reactive response to proactive preparedness, saying the direction of the administration of President @officialABAT leaves no room for ambiguity in combating floods and other climate-related disasters.

According to him, preparedness, coordination, and early action must become the standard practice of how risk is governed in the country.

VP @KashimSM, who is also Chairman of the AATF, observed that while climate and disaster risks are becoming more frequent and more severe with every passing season, the government’s responsibility should no longer be confined to responding only when emergencies arise.

“We are called to act early, to reduce losses before they multiply, and to protect vulnerable communities before crises unfold around them,” he stated.

Speaking on Wednesday in Abuja when he commissioned Phase 1 of the Kuje-Gwagwalada Dual Carriage Way, the President, who was represented by his deputy, Vice President @KashimSM, said the infrastructural developments along the Kuje-Gwagwalada road are taking place across the nation.

He outlined the significance of the Kuje-Gwagwalada Dual Carriage Way, noting that the construction of the road, which had been a death trap for decades, is both economic and geographical.

His words: “For decades, this road was a death trap. Traders from Kuje, Gwagwalada, Kwali, and beyond lost time, goods, and sometimes lives while plying this route. Criminals thrived in the darkness. Students of our institutions here wasted hours in traffic. Farmers could not get their produce to market on time. That story ends today.”

Today, I formally commissioned the massive Water Supply Network linking Karu, Orozo, Jikwoyi, Kurudu, and other adjoining satellite towns.

This project is a ray of hope beamed on residents of Abuja satellite towns, which was a response to a declaration by Mr. President @officialABAT that the era of neglecting suburbs of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) was over under his administration’s Renewed Hope Agenda.

Indeed, the Renewed Hope Agenda is the @officialABAT administration’s sacred covenant with the Nigerian people.

In my remarks, I expressed President @officialABAT’s deep sense of fulfilment and gratitude to God for the completion of the massive Water Supply Network project in fulfilment of the promise he made to the people.

The Vice President, Senator @KashimSM, has showered praises on the late Alhaja Abibatu Mogaji, mother of President @officialABAT, describing her as a woman whose love went far beyond her family and shaped Nigeria’s moral imagination.

According to him, the leadership given by the late revered Iyaloja-General of Nigeria, who moved on to the next stage of existence on June 15, 2013, at the age of 96, was demonstrated in the lives she lifted and the institutions she strengthened, rather than being announced by noise.

Speaking on Sunday in Abuja during the Annual Grand Prayer Session in honour of the late Alhaja Mogaji at the National Mosque, Abuja, Senator @KashimSM, who represented the President, noted that the late matriarch of the Tinubu family ran her race, finished her course, and left behind a legacy that will instruct generations yet unborn.

Specifically, the Vice President identified the “like mother, like son” case scenario between the President and his late mother, stating that the late Alhaja Mogaji shaped President @officialABAT into a leader and that she still serves Nigeria through the values she instilled in her son, the incumbent Nigerian leader.

He said, “It should surprise no one, then, that the son she raised carries the same fire into the highest office in our land. His Excellency, President @officialABAT, learned at her side that public life is a trust and that leadership is owed first to the ordinary and the unheard.”

President @officialABAT has observed that social life in Abuja, the nation’s capital, is gradually returning, while criminal hideouts are disappearing.

He attributed the development to good governance that delivers security, mobility, and dignity, just as he applauded the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), @GovWike, for delivering on the assignment he gave him to make Abuja a true capital city.

Speaking on Friday in Abuja when he commissioned the Collector Road CN2 from Arterial Road N16 to Arterial Road N20, including ILS 5, in Katampe District, the President, who was represented by his deputy, Vice President @KashimSM, said the road will cushion the daily struggle of the citizens.

“My fellow residents of Abuja, we did not stop at the road. We installed solar streetlights. Today, Katampe is safer at night. Abuja’s real life is coming back. Criminal hideouts are disappearing. That is what good governance delivers: security, mobility, and dignity,” he declared.

The Nigerian leader highlighted the significance of the road, noting that it “links Katampe and Mabushi Districts and connects them to major road networks.”

President @officialABAT has ordered the immediate and permanent reinforcement of security at the National Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies (@NIPSSKuru), Kuru, Plateau State, following a recent attack on the perimeter of the institute by bandits.

He said the incident has strengthened the resolve of the Federal Government to protect national institutions, support security personnel, and ensure that future attacks do not find the country unprepared.

Speaking on Friday while addressing participants of Senior Executive Course 48, 2026, at NIPSS, President @officialABAT, who was represented by Vice President @KashimSM, conveyed the condolences of the Federal Government to the families of two soldiers and one policeman who lost their lives during the attack.

VP @KashimSM said the President has directed that emergency security measures be activated without delay, with the Director-General of NIPSS required to work with the Armed Forces (@DHQNigeria), the Nigeria Police Force (@PoliceNG), and the Department of State Services (@OfficialDSSNG) to fortify the institute’s perimeter.

The Vice President noted that a comprehensive action plan and timeline for permanent security reinforcement, covering surveillance, personnel, access control, and emergency systems, must be submitted to the Office of the Vice President within 72 hours.
