@coderofstuff_ is focused on dk, while I do my best to find time to guide him and review his efforts. The repo is still private but is intended to be opened as soon as possible. Of course, he’s also involved in ongoing general rk development and maintenance, which naturally takes precedence at times.
My main focus is vprogs (both hands-on coding and project coordination, where @CryptoAspect is starting to share the burden on the coordination/project-management side), but I’m needed all around as well--especially in dk, where bridging the paper to practical algos requires my cross-knowledge. Others will lead other efforts. Actually, a full report regarding this distribution of effort is in progress as we speak.
https://t.co/8XHMdww3uC, one of the most widely used Kaspa explorers, announced it is winding down operations, citing usability concerns.
In response, Yonatan Sompolinsky stated that funding can be arranged to keep https://t.co/hWiLJOQd3V operating if needed. He also noted that similar support could be considered for other community-used and well-loved Kaspa projects currently facing financial difficulties.
Additionally, Yonatan interest in Kaspa’s technology from teams within the Solana and NEAR ecosystems, as well as others, highlighting increasing external attention to Kaspa’s DAG architecture.
Hello world! Let's talk about why Igra exists.
Why we built on Kaspa
Kaspa solved the hardest part in modern programmable blockchains infra: it is a fast[est], clean, credibly neutral, and scalable PoW consensus maintained by one of the most competent protocol teams in the industry.
It’s a rare base layer with real users, real value, and real technical depth. It set the foundational bricks for Igra to build on.
@DailyKaspa What Yonatan wrote is something @binance and @cz_binance can never answer.
@binance is a casino and they have admitted it by not refusing.
Given the history, nothing better can be expected.
@binance gives a bad look to crypto.

🚨 $KAS NODE MILESTONE 🚨
Currently 999 public nodes!!!
Who will be the lucky 1000th #Kaspa node operator? Start up your node in as fast a 15 minutes from your desktop or laptop. Lets prove the decentralized strength of the blockDAG.

Had a blast @Tokenize_LDN & @fintech_connect at Excel London.
As expected, the Kaspa booth was buzzing, and the talks on stage by @hashdag & @oneforonehaha were very informative and interesting.
Below is my interpretation of Yonaton’s speech 👇👇👇
Great to see some absolute Kas legends like @KaspaQueeen @glitchin888 @Seb28_7@MerlinNobody@Twixx2407@XHodlerX@gallap01@Elliott_Blast & @emdin

Key Points from Yonatan Sompolinsky’s Speech on @kaspaunchained future at Tokenize London
• Vision for “Internet Money”: Sompolinsky starts by explaining that cryptocurrencies should work like fast internet cash, connecting blockchains to real-world events instantly and securely—think money that reacts to news as quickly as you scroll your phone.
• Two Kinds of Experts in Crypto: He splits researchers into “cryptographers” who build strong math locks but forget to check if inputs are real (leading to trust issues), and “distributed systems” folks who assume most people are honest to link crypto to the outside world, like verifying news without middlemen.
• Real-World Example with MicroStrategy: Using a possible January 2026 event where MicroStrategy’s Bitcoin strategy gets added to stock indexes, he shows how a liquidity provider could hand off a trading plan to a smart system that watches headlines and buys/sells Bitcoin right away if approved—making money moves as quick as a tweet.
• The Missing Piece: Trustless Flow: Right now, no blockchain can split a plan, pass it to a network, and execute it based on live events without trusting someone shady; Sompolinsky says Kaspa fixes this by baking real-world checks into its core design.
• How Kaspa Integrates Outside Events: Kaspa lets miners “vote” on real events (like a court ruling) using proof-of-work energy, creating a chain of blocks that tracks time like a shared timeline—turning news into unbreakable on-chain facts.
• Speed at 10 Blocks Per Second: At Kaspa’s current rate, confirming a group vote takes about 1 second, but there’s a small risk (around 4.5%) of picking a bad sample of miners who lie, like flipping a coin and maybe getting heads when it’s tails.
• Power of 100 Blocks Per Second: Cranking up to 100 blocks per second drops that lie-risk to almost nothing in just half a second, letting the network spot the honest crowd super fast—like crowd-sourcing truth without waiting for everyone to vote.
• Why Proof-of-Work Still Rules: People say old-school mining is dead, but Sompolinsky argues it’s the only way to sample honest majorities in real time securely; other systems can’t match this raw, energy-backed trust.
• Lightning-Fast Finality: Unlike Bitcoin’s hour-long “wait and see” confirmations, Kaspa seals deals in the time it takes for data to zip across the internet (one round-trip), making it feel instant for everyday use.
• Kaspa vs. Other Blockchains: He calls out projects like Near or Zcash for add-on fixes, but Kaspa builds event-checking right into layer 1 and pays miners to join in, creating a self-reinforcing loop of activity.
• The “Flywheel” Effect: Fast blocks unlock zero-delay tools (like auto-trading on news), which pull in more apps and money, boosting demand and making the network even more reliable—like a bike wheel that spins faster the more you pedal.
• Tackling Big Ambitions: Critics say Kaspa’s goals are too wild, but features like “miner-vault auctions” (to stop sneaky trades) are must-haves for safe, fast money—essential bricks for building the future.
• Call to Action for the Community: Sompolinsky urges everyone to rally around this real-time vision, admitting tech hurdles exist but stressing it’s not pie-in-the-sky—it’s the path to making crypto actually usable for the world.
I’ll do a breakdown of the @Kaspa_KEF speech tomorrow.
Bitcoin has more than ~24 000 public nodes
Bitcoin Cash ~460-620 (different sources)
Litecoin ~940
Kaspa today crossed the 1000 nodes mark. We are just getting started.
@Igra_Labs are the most important lifeline for Kaspa adoption.
The only other significant lifeline is vProgs (which will not make programmability layers obsolete, but will crucially complement), but they are not exactly around the corner, and, like all tectonic paradigm shifts, will have to overcome noticeable technical hurdles for adoption. vProg significantly innovate on how smart-contract infrastructure is designed, and it is only realistic to expect a long adaptation period.
Igra is what Kaspa needs to enable and fund it's further development from the community so far down the emission schedule. A team of veterans, some ex-DAGLabs, working to deliver the fastest, most secure, EVM compatible, based rollup technology in the world.
With great respect to the slow burn, it's about time to harness Kaspa's beastly power.
