Free resources to celebrate David Attenborough’s 100th birthday!
On May 8th, our national treasure, David Attenborough is going to be turning 100!
I imagine that a lot of schools will want to mark this day (and perhaps the week leading up to it) with some David Attenborough and nature related ideas!
I’ve generated a list of a good dozen or so ideas - some for primary, some for secondary (and some for both) - with there being something for every context (I hope)!
All of the ideas are here: https://t.co/kGpGjyCWN9
If you find this helpful, please do share!
@POferriesupdate Yes as we have 100 students here and there are many more on coaches around us. All needing food and toilets. Already in the queue by the time you updated to say 60 minutes so no time to stop.
@MrPayne49954959 Up country have had it like this for years and proposal is now to move us to once every three weeks - to encourage you to recycle and use your food waste bin more
Another scale busting map!
September rainfall for the UK.
Huge variation but parts of southern England seeing over three & a half times their average rainfall.
Incredibly Bedfordshire & Oxfordshire saw their wettest month (of any month) in at least 188 years.
🚨 NEW: We’re scrapping single headline Ofsted judgements with immediate effect.
Ofsted judgements have been high stakes for schools, low information for parents.
We’ll:
✅ Give parents more transparency
✅ Drive high & rising standards
✅ Pave the way for school report cards
It is one minute past midnight, and the embargo has lifted, so here’s a thing I’ve waited nineteen months to be able to say: no school will ever receive a single-word/phrase judgement again. They are gone, they are history…
