@BanjoBlood16 @SianArfonMiners @DrEmmaNash In this instance, it wasn’t media spin, it was hospital spin! They told me to get painkillers from my GP, and acted as though that was normal procedure. The GP surgery hasn’t responded to the email I sent after surgery, and that was 2 years ago, so 🤷🏻♀️
@SianArfonMiners @DrEmmaNash The staff were so incredibly kind, caring & over-stretched that I didn’t want them to be blamed for what, in reality, is a particularly under-resourced area of healthcare. If I thought complaining would help them provide better care via getting more resources that would be diff
@SianArfonMiners @DrEmmaNash I was so hideously and pathetically grateful for finally getting surgery after so much suffering, that I didn’t consider complaining
@DrEmmaNash You’re absolutely right. I made a complaint to the GP because they didn’t respond in a timely way to my frankly desperate need for pain relief, but didn’t complain to the hospital who sent me home with nothing. Buck successfully passed it would seem
