Last night, Kyiv came under a massive Russian attack. Russia launched 68 missiles and 351 attack drones. Response efforts are still underway. Damage has been recorded at more than 10 locations across the city, including residential buildings. All necessary services are on the ground, doing everything possible to rescue people and provide assistance to everyone who needs it. So far, 64 people have been rescued, including two children. As of now, it has been confirmed that, tragically, eleven people were killed in this attack. My condolences to their families and loved ones. Around 60 more people were injured.
In the Kyiv region, sixteen people were injured and three people were killed. My condolences to their families and loved ones. A fire is still burning at the site of the missile strike in Vyshneve. People are being evacuated from a residential area. More than 400 first responders and police officers have been deployed to deal with the aftermath of the attack.
Our warriors performed well today in intercepting drones and cruise missiles, but unfortunately not Russian ballistic missiles. And the reason lies in the insufficient supply of interceptor missiles. It is critically important that the world – first and foremost the United States and our European partners – come out of the NATO Summit in Ankara with strong decisions in support of our air defense, and thus the protection of ordinary people’s lives. As long as Patriot missiles remain in our allies' stockpiles, Russia is only encouraged to keep “vanquishing” residential buildings. The United States and Europe have enough strength to stop this terror.
"I grew up on a council estate" is not an excuse for failure. You are sacrificing the future of generations of kids on the altar of your class envy -reversing even Labour's academy reforms.
0% of teachers think you're doing a great job. I'm not here to give you a pat on the back.
I speak for those people whose lives you're destroying and I'll NEVER stop speaking up for them.
🚨 BREAKING: Nicola Sturgeon's husband has been jailed for five years for stealing cash to fund their lavish lifestyle.
The public deserve the TRUTH about this scandal. We need an inquiry now.
Keir Starmer has resigned, but nothing really changes.
Labour MPs still back higher taxes, bigger welfare spending and policies that threaten North Sea oil and gas jobs.
This isn’t just about one leader. The problem runs through the entire Labour Party.
Winning in Scotland: Aberdeen South the first Conservative by-election gain (from the SNP) since 1967.
Winning in England: Rayleigh West and Sweyne Park both in Essex (from Reform) and Hillingdon, London
Winning in Wales: Mumbles, Swansea (from Reform)
All a massive endorsement of the revival under @KemiBadenoch
Thank you to all our wonderful candidates and activists. A brilliant team effort.
Thank you, Aberdeen.
This result sends a clear message to Labour and the SNP: their war on North Sea oil and gas must end.
It’s an honour to be elected as your MP. I’ll fight every day for Aberdeen, our jobs and our energy industry.
Today voters in Aberdeen South have the chance to elect a pro-oil and gas MP.
By uniting behind me and the Scottish Conservatives, we can beat the SNP and send a message to Labour to get Britain drilling.
