(2/3) We used the safety continuum to explore how fear shapes the experiences of people in Shinyanga. For women & children, situations without choice & control, like early marriages, trigger feelings of unsafety, leading to ongoing stress unease, often unspoken but deeply felt.
(1/3) Safety isn't just a binary concept, it’s a spectrum. But what triggers us to feel unsafe? When life's challenges surpass our physiological limits, we enter our "unsafe" zone. However, with CHOICE, CONTROL & TIME LIMIT, we can take risks while keeping that safety net intact.
(2/2) To move forward, let’s bridge the disconnect between feelings, thoughts, and actions. Let's empower ourselves and our communities by acknowledging the impact of our emotions on behaviour.
