Saw my Nan in hospital, asked the hca if she had been out of bed this week... nope she has a pad on! My Nan at 92 was mobile & continent prior to this admission, medically fit for discharge but hasn't been allowed out of bed and told to stay in hospital gown 😭#pjparalysis
@lizsargeant So bad but it’s not the first time patients are admitted able to walk and leave unable to walk. Many reasons for it insufficient staff is one. Most elderly patients need off loading every half hour to help reduce the risk of muscular atrophy
