51 defendants, every single one found guilty.
These men are not monsters, they are men. Men who were fathers, husbands, lorry drivers, supermarket workers, military. Men in their 20’s to their 70’s. Men from a similar location. All willing to rape an unconscious elderly woman.

Can anyone help? Mateo has sent a letter to Santa telling him that all he wants for Christmas is for him to bring Liz back. We have a memory bear she bought for him before she died, but she never got round to recording her voice. We ideally want to try and do that for him for Santa to bring (we will tell him she sent it to Santa before she died). Someone has suggested that AI may be able to replicate her voice using the video footage we have so that it could say ‘I love you most Mateo’ which if anyone has used AI and can recommend a programme or someone who might be able to help us accomplish it we would hugely appreciate it. #LizHatton
(Photo is one of Liz taken the day Mateo was born. She was a hugely proud big sister right from day one)
Tonight we are struggling. Three is not a big enough number. Liz is missed every moment of every day.
We need your help to make sure other families don’t go through this. So we are asking you to share Liz’s story in any way that you can. Whether that’s on Facebook (you can share from Victoria Hatton), here, on Instagram (@lizhatton_photography ) or with friends and family in real life.
If you run a blog, Podcast ir YouTube channel we are happy to talk to you. If you have media contacts in any country (this is not only a UK issue) then we are happy to talk to them.
It is not ok that only 15% of those with Desmoplastic Small Round Cell Tumour live for 5 years. It is not ok that Liz died only 10 months after diagnosis. It is not ok that governments and pharmaceutical companies don’t fund research into DSRCT.
We need to change things and together we can. But in order to do that we need to raise awareness and funding for research: https://t.co/iSsJO83LLs
We are determined to create the first international charity for Desmoplastic Small Round Cell Tumour but we can’t create the scale of difference we need to make alone.
We never thought this could be us. The reality is no-one ever will.
You have been incredible at sharing Liz’s story on here - where can you share it next?
90% of walkers seen today were in black. Looks great but very hard for #mountainrescue to find you if you have a problem. One solution is to pop a cheap high vis vest in your rucksack for emergencies (or you could ask for a new brightly coloured jacket for Christmas 🎁😀) Zac
For my 40th @bcfccoxi had this artwork commissioned based on a Coleridge poem. In July, Mick got one bird tattooed and three weeks ago, I got the other! Love them and him!! Thanks @JoolzDenby
Did you buy yourself lunch this week? Or a coffee? Could you donate the cost of that treat towards trying to help find a cure for this awful disease?
Thank you
@peekaboo_jen I’d love to watch this but I first read Cross Stitch (and the rest) when I was 15 and the characters in the show don’t fit my mental image so I just can’t. Just how it is.
