Paul Bard was, in Tommy Lasorda's words, "the greatest throwing catcher who ever lived. I can't comp him, but I do know how good he was. I wrote a story on the Tufts catcher for the Boston Globe.
@pgammo@CHRISTIANBSBALL You could write a column on the athletic gifts of the entire Bard family, but you could write a book on how genuinely great people they are.
Let’s all be praying for the Scruggs family.
They lost their beloved little girl, Hallie in this act of pure evil.
Having lost a son, I know they are in unimaginable pain right now.
I know there are so many “Why” questions.
After our son died, Pastor Chuck Smith said to me, “Never trade what you do know for what you don’t know”. Here is what we do know-
God loves this Christian family.
Little Hallie Scruggs is in Heaven right now.
They will all be reunited one day.
Hallie is not just a part of their past, she is also a part of their future.
May God comfort this family as only He can today.
Let’s also be praying for the families of the five others who lost loved ones.
@JaredBard Thank you @CoachJasonEstep for the lives you have touched at CCS and beyond. You will be missed! There is no doubt you will be successful in your next chapter. Thank you for your investment in your players lives, their HS football experience, and their walk w/ Christ!
