I start every day reading cancer headlines—because if there’s something that could help you or your loved ones, I want to share it.
With cancer on the rise in young people, discussions on fertility preservation are important. It’s not just a “nice to do”—it’s medically necessary.
@ascocancer recently released updated guidelines on this topic. Share them with others that need to know.
Let’s keep talking. Let’s keep advocating.

The hardest part of the cancer journey? It’s finding the right medical team for you. Here’s the truth: Getting to an academic medical center can increase your chance of survival by up to 20%. While 70% of care happens locally, a second opinion at a top center can make all the difference—and they’ll help you build a care plan you can follow close to home. You can get the best of both worlds.

Cancer cases are at an all time high (over 2M) but 40% of those cases can be prevented. Here’s how:
1. Take charge of your health through a diet low in processed foods, exercise, limited alcohol, and sun protection.
2. Know what cancers run in your family and discuss this information with your primary care doctor.
3. Make sure you/your family gets the appropriate vaccines (HepB and HPV) and screenings at the right age.

When I read Mel Robbins’ book 𝑻𝒉𝒆 𝑳𝒆𝒕 𝑻𝒉𝒆𝒎 𝑻𝒉𝒆𝒐𝒓𝒚, it hit me how much her message can apply to so many moments in life. One that stood out for me was when I was diagnosed with early-stage breast cancer and made the decision to have a double mastectomy. At the time, some people thought it was too aggressive and vehemently voiced their opinions. I took their opinions to heart because indeed, it was a bold decision, and not for everyone. But ultimately, this was my journey, and my decision was based on personal factors that I kept private. That’s when I realized I needed to let them share what they wanted, while I focused on making the choices that were best for me and my family. To anyone facing tough decisions that others may not understand... remember.. “Let Them and Let Me”

Did you know alcohol is the third leading preventable cause of cancer in the U.S.? According to a new advisory from the U.S. Surgeon General Dr. Vivek Murthy, alcohol consumption increases the risk for at least seven types of cancer, including breast, liver, and throat cancers.
While many of us embrace #DryJanuary, this isn’t just a seasonal conversation. It’s a wake-up call to prioritize our health all year round. With so many amazing alcohol-free alternatives out there, it’s easier than ever to make mindful choices that support long-term well-being.
Let’s start the conversation: How are you taking steps toward a healthier lifestyle this year? Let’s encourage each other to make positive changes and take our health seriously—because our future depends on it.

Facing cancer is hard -- even if you're someone who would change the way we treat cancer. See the piece I have out today.
@KathyGiusti, a pharma exec turned patient advocate, became a big deal in drug development. In the words of FDA's Rick Pazdur, "We would not be where we are today in the treatment of multiple myeloma without Kathy’s leadership.”
Kathy's version? "I’ve had every resource you can imagine. I have a great family. I have great friends. I had good insurance. I had everything I needed to do it right. And even I messed up. A lot.”
I've followed Kathy's story for years. But what emerged in conversations after she wrote a book was how tough her journey was and how tough she was in confronting it.
So I hope you like the story I wrote today. And maybe you'll want to check out her book.
.@KathyGiusti, co-founder & CEO, @TheMMRF, joins the Get Real with the Chairman podcast to discuss her book, share her inspiring journey, and offer expert advice on navigating the complexities of cancer treatment.

Join us for the @EITLosAngeles #InsightsForum to discuss boosting awareness and access to cutting-edge #PrecisionOncology in the face of growing cancer rates. I'll be diving into this important topic with @LyndaChin, @CliftonLeaf, and @LarryNortonMD.
