EXTRAORDINARY: RABBINICAL COUNCIL STATEMENT

It is VERY rare for our Rabbis to make public statements which might have a political dimension.

The peak Rabbinical body has just issued a powerful statement with implied strong criticism of the Federal Government.

The statement calls for:
- existing laws to be utilised with severe penalties (something we're yet to see)
- antisemitic property damage should bring the harshest consequences
- non-citizens involved should be deported
- stronger protections for Jewish facilities and leaders, even deploying the army as occurs in parts of Europe

How on earth has Australia reached this point - Do you agree with the Rabbis?

House targeted in antisemitic attack in Sydney's Queen's Park

The attack followed separate attacks on two Sydney synagogues within 24 hours.

The Jewish community is on edge. Many are fearful for their safety.

There is fury at the Albanese Government for ignoring repeated warnings that they were fanning the flames of antisemitism.
