I've read the story as covered by the BBC, the Guardian and the Daily Mail.
All three are framing the killing as yet another youth stabbing in crime ridden Croydon.

This is a femicide where a violent 17yo boy brutally murdered a 15yo girl because she dared to break up with him. It's likely she left him precisely because he had already been violent or coercive with her.

This is not a story about gangs and knife crime. This is a story about yet another violent incel and rabid misogynist thinking himself entitled to a girl's affection - and executing her for the supreme crime of saying 'No'.
